RULES:

• Your Team must have a minimum of one-third (1/3) of your books from the first challenge, A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay Reading Challenge. You may then choose the rest, in any percent each of the next two NBRC challenges you choose. Example of a Category's Sub-options Restrictions: Two (2) books per Book A Day Challenge sub-option. Using Category #4 as an example we have two (2) books with a red/blue/white cover, two (2) books set on the US, two (2) books with the US flag on the cover. Or two (2) books where the main character is fighting for his independence or for some greater good.
That is a total of eight (8) books for Category #4. Some categories allow more, some are less.

• We will allow members to “double up” on days for the A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay Reading Challenge.

• There must be at least one book in the remaining two challenges, unless you have met your goal in the first challenge.

• You do NOT need to complete the selected challenges; just fit your books to the three you choose.

Some Questions and Answers

Day 2 - Book that has a partnership:
it could be a partnership on the book, like romance, a team of two (police partners for example) and yes, 2 authors writing the book will count too - not anthologies though unless the pair writes a short-story together, like the Ilona Andrews ones.

Day 5 - Star on title/cover: Would a star on the cover or title count as 2 options?
Yes.

Day 7 - Book with a tight deadline: is plot-related.
Any deadline counts. For example, in Gameboard of the Gods, Justin has one month to the next full moon to discover who the killer is. A book about serial killers, where they are racing against time to prevent more murders counts too. Any action that they have a time limit (or are short of time) counts.

Day 8 - Magic Book: Does this mean the book has to have magic in it (like HP. Should it be shelved as magic in the book main page?) or the reader thinks that book is magical?
Both. Is from free interpretation. It could have magic, or classified as magic or a miracle of sorts. Or you can think of it as magical.
It can also be a "magical title" or cover.

Day 9 - Set in a Post-Apocalyptic/Character from a post-apocalyptic: Does this mean I can technically read 4 books set in a PA future because technically, the characters are from a PA future? Or are you thinking time-travel?
This means you can read 2 books set in a post-apocalyptic world (like the Kate Daniels books) and 2 books where the character is from a PA world (time-travel, alternative universe, etc)

Day 10 - MC is Portugese/Brazilian or speaks Portugese: Would a protagonist is Portuguese or Brazilian or speaks Portuguese count as 2 options?
Yes.

Day 11 - Last of a set of events: Is it up to the reader's interpretation?
Is up to interpretation. It could be literally, like
The 5th Wave, the last straw that makes a character reaches his/her limit, or the last college exam. Or the final battle, and so on.

Day 12 - Read a book with zodiac or one of the signs on the cover or in the title: What do you mean by a zodiac on cover/title? Do you mean the zodiac word as such? And the same qn as #5: Would a zodiac on the cover or title count as 2 options?

Thanks Karen! Luckily, I don't think we will have to do that. The A-Z Challenge and The Yahtzee Challenge only require 1 book each. We don't have to complete the challenges. We are at 25/27 for the Book A Day Challenge requirement. Yay!! So 2 more books for that one and at least 1 in each of the others and then we can put them wherever! Easy Peasy! We're almost halfway done and it's only the 5th. 26/80, not too bad.
