2013 September Pick It For Me! Challenge
Nancy H -So we have about 26 books in common, so this will be interesting :)
I usually stick to 8 picks, but I am going to go with 12 this time (3 for each element). One will be from your to-read shelf based purely on the cover. 1 will be something new to you but something that I have at least heard of and maybe read, but still near your comfort zone. 1 may stretch your boundaries, but were 5* reads for me ;)

Hi Kimberly, here are your picks I hope you like them.PIFM Rules
Please choose TWO books for each category to recommend. Please give at least 4 books from their TBR and 4 books that are new to them. If your pickee has listed a preferred shelf, please make sure to use that shelf.
Fire:
From your TBR: Angels Fall This looks like a good book, you can never really go wrong with Nora Roberts and get a good mystery with your romance.
New to you: Darkfever This is a great start to a fabulous series. Plus the cover is red.
Water:
From your TBR: Summer Rental This seems like a nice story.
New to You: Fantasy Lover this is the first book of a very popular series plus a dark blue cover
Air:
From your TBR:The Guardian. Nicholas Spark's books are always a bit angsty LOL that's why we love them so. I really enjoyed this one.
New to you: Trouble in Mudbug This is a good story with a mystery. The cover has a light blue sky as well.
Earth:
From your TBR: Vision in White This looks like a light read plus it has brown on the cover
New to You:Nerd in Shining Armor This is a fun light read. I really enjoyed it plus it has humor.

Intimidating? Hope not. : )
Anyway, I love your picks. Great work. Right now, I'm leaning towards Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan. Just have to secure a copy.
Thanks!
Hi Ayesha!Sorry for the delay. According to my husband, I fell asleep in my chair with my Nook propped up and softly snoring. *Until I see video, I'm not buying the snoring part* :) You have a teeny tiny tbr so I hope to help remedy that. I hope you find something you like!

Brandilyn,
Thank you so much. I am ALWAYS up for new authors, especially ones that other people give a '5', so I am eager to read these. I will see how many I can get done this month, since for once I don't have a ton of other stuff on my schedule in 'real' life - lol! They all look good so I am having trouble deciding which one to start with, but will let you know as soon as I choose one.
Angi wrote: "Hello Ezinwanyi~For you, Agron...Here are your picks - hope you enjoy them!! Sorry (again) for the delay and let me know if you want anything changed...."

I just saw your book lists and all the groups you are a part of and I was worried that I would not do a good job picking for you. I am so happy that you like my picks. Happy Reading!!!

Hey Leslie! I have Firebird on library reserve also. I plan to start reading Ghost Bride this weekend and I'd love to do it as a buddy read.
Hi, Nici!Sorry you had to wait so long for your picks! Our tastes are quite different, so most of the books from your to-read shelf are based on things I've heard rather than first-hand experience. Half of the picks are from your shelves and half are new to you, with at least one of each in every category...

Hi Roxy - I have Ghost Bride from the library but I can't start until Monday. I am headed to New Orleans with furniture for my daughter's new apt. But I'd love to do a Buddy read. I'll catch up with you, I'm pretty laid back (make that extremely) about buddy reads. And I'd love to do Firebird as well whenever you get it. Let me know and I will set up a thread.

Hi Daffodil, so glad you found some books to read! And I'm so sorry that I picked one you had read. I love that series and can't wait to read #3. So I'm excited to hear what you think. You have picked some of my favorite books! I hope you enjoy them all. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks so much Christina for all your picks! I own quite a few of those books in hardcopy, so you've given me the push that I've needed to finally get to them. My bookshelves thank you. ;)
I'm not sure exactly which ones I'll be getting to because as soon as I say which ones I'm going to read, I don't feel like reading them anymore so I'll update as I go along. :)
Mountain KatI read Boys of Summer this morning. I loved it! 5 stars. I've added book 2 to my TBR and I really hope I can squeeze it in this month.
I read My Cowboy Heart early as I needed it for BINGO. I very much enjoyed that one as well 4stars.
Thanks for these great picks. Planning on 4 more of your picks as well.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your picks! Wow, 5 stars?! I may have to move that one off the wishlist and actually go shopping!!
Renee:I finished my first pick,
. You were so right it was very hot but also very sweet. I really liked the author's writing so I'm going to check out not of her stuff. Great pick. This was right up my alley. On to
next!
MountainKat wrote: "I'm so glad you are enjoying your picks! Wow, 5 stars?! I may have to move that one off the wishlist and actually go shopping!!"I bet this story is a love it or hate it. It was 1st POV and it was 67 pages of Hunter's feelings. I was very emotional.
Karen H, I finished my first PIFM...
. This was a new book to me and an author I had never heard of. I loved the book. I gave it 5 stars. It had so many elements in a book that I love. But, my favorite element is that of a strong heroine. Beth was just awesome. I liked her VERY much. I hope to read the next book in the series soon as it seems like the family is healing and there might just be happiness for everyone! Isabella and Mac intrigue me and I need to read more from the author... she's awesome.

Glad you liked it, Crystal! I've loved every book in the series so far. If you listen to audiobooks at all, you might want to consider trying this series in audio...the narration is very well done.

Karen, I've never listened to an audio book before... I have done the text-to-speech on my Kindle, but had a hard time following along as my mind would wonder a lot. I may give it a try.. I hear the audio books have a lot better quality.
Oh, it's a totally different experience, Crystal...I can't listen to text-to-speech, but I get through more books in audio than I do reading. A good narrator can add so much to a book! Unfortunately the opposite is also true, a bad narrator can ruin a good story, so you do have to be careful what you pick. I got started listening to audiobooks when had about a 4 hour round-trip commute for a couple of years, and now I still listen while I'm in the car, but also doing housework, yardwork, etc. They're gread for anytime you're doing something repetitive or relatively mindless. If you have access to a library that has digital downloads, it might be worth checking one out. And if it doesn't work for you (and even though I'm a huge fan I do know they aren't for everyone) you're not out anything to try it.

BTW... I started my 2nd PIFM book this morning....
