Joey | 3 comments Would like to join neverwhere! Just finished reading it actually :)

message 205: by Andrew✌️ (new)

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 21 comments I started the book yesterday and I must say I love it. In addition to the style of Gaiman that I find fabulous, this story is amazing and the pages run one after the other.

message 206: by Tabatha (last edited Dec 16, 2013 01:36PM) (new)

Tabatha Dixon | 37 comments I'd love to join in. I've read a couple of NG books and loved them. Found him while plowing through everything Terry Pratchett. I think it'd be fun to reread Good Omens with a group and I have Neverwhere planned for next month already.

I was lucky enough to win a hardback 1st edition of Fortunately, the Milk . . . by Neil Gaiman in a Goodreads giveaway.

It's great fun with fantastic drawings by Chris Riddell. Recommended if you are a Neil Gaiman fan or a fan of aliens, dinosaurs, wumpires, pirates or milk.

One of my RL book clubs has chosen Stardust for our January read. Does anyone mind if I swap American Gods and Stardust in our schedule?
If it causes anyone a logistics problem in getting the book I won't change it, just wanted to check :)

~Karen

message 210: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 1778 comments I'm ok with it.

message 211: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie (darlingdoor) | 1733 comments Fine with me!

message 212: by [deleted user] (new)

I need to read American Gods as a group read for a challenge by the end of February. So, I would prefer it to go:

January - Stardust
February - American Gods
March - Good Omens

Sarah | 3273 comments I didn't check my ebook out on time and lost it from my library hold - oops, but I still have the audio version on hold, but I may get it late now.

Another oops, wrong thread, this is for American Gods by Neil Gaiman read which starts on the 12th.

All good Sarah :) I have the audio, but I'm finishing Lirael on audio so I may start it a day or so late

message 232: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Well, I just finished my other book so maybe I'll start Neverwhere, since I haven't got to it yet.

message 233: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (whitebooks) | 1 comments Participating in the BR will help me finish American Gods!

Karen wrote: "All good Sarah :) I have the audio, but I'm finishing Lirael on audio so I may start it a day or so late"

How are you enjoying Lirael? I really enjoyed Sabriel.

message 235: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16602 comments Mod
I'm enjoying Lirael more Pigletto! It explores the world 14 years after Sabriel finished and is more focused on the Clayr and some new concepts that weren't introduced in Sabriel. I thought I would miss Sabriel and Touchstone, but I find I don't as the story is so good and they do make the occasional appearance

message 236: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments I am confused - are we reading Good Omens The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett in March? I SEE A THREAD FOR Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman for April but no Good Omens?

Nice one Kristie! What was your favourite?

message 240: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments Neverwhere. I really liked that one. I think I may read Anansi Boys at some point in time too, but I just can't fit it in with the group.

message 241: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16602 comments Mod
I think that's my favourite so far too. I just started Anansi Boys on audio. Lenny Henry does a great job

message 242: by Susan (new)

Susan Elizabeth (susan_e_lizabeth) Neverwhere was the first Gaiman I read and I loved it. I enjoyed The Ocean at the End of the Lane, but not quite as much as Neverwhere. Halfway through American Gods right now and then straight into Anansi Boys.

message 243: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie (darlingdoor) | 1733 comments It warms my heart to see new fans of Neverwhere :)
