SOLVED. Girl With unique name in high school is marked for a demon from a book of curses by a guy she thought was a friend.? [s]

I remember one part about it that in one of the class was swimming and they were supposed to dive off the board but the main girl was scared to do it so the girl behind her was being nice so she went to the other girl could i don't know swallow her fear and she got up there to the board... Had jump but when she went back down she slipped and then hit her face and then went in to the pool.

And then in one of the later or last few scene's there was a dance going and she had to face her fear and pool is where all the bad luck started..... So she had to face the demon..
The after that she found that it a guy/kid she thought was her friend... he had cursed her but she reason where the demon couldn't find her right or whatever was because when the guy/kid said her name to book for the demon he said it wrong or spelled it wrong...
Please help I have spent three years going insane trying to find the name of this book!

Yes it's YA I can't remember anything about the cover and I found it in the library. No it's not prom date from hell.

When I saw the title Prom Dates from Hell I have to admit--I thought of THIS book. Prom Nights from Hell Perhaps that is what Annmarie was thinking of too, instead of Prom Dates from Hell ?

Okay I finally had time to read the book and I sorry for doubting. It was my book, When I looked it up it did not sound like my book but it was thank you for helping me find it and sorry for taking so long to reply.
