All Time Favorite S&L Reads

All of those ended up being 5 star rates for me.

Other books on the club list I read at one point or another that I gave 5 stars to are Ready Player One and both A Song of Ice and Fire books.
Of the ones I've read with the club Wool Omnibus (Silo, #1) is my top rated, but Assassin's Apprentice is probably my favorite because I went on to read and love the next 8 elderling books and Ms. Hobb has become one of my favorite authors.

I read all of those before I joined the group but those are my favorites on the bookshelf.

That I read at a different time from when the club did them: Ready Player One and Redshirts

And a personal favorite, that I didn't lem - Memoirs Found in a Bathtub. \o/

It was because of the group read that I discovered 1Q84 and Haruki Murakami that quickly became my favorite book and one of my favorite author of all time.

Didn't you read the signs? Don't poke the all powerful Empress. You wouldn't like her when she's angry.

Outside the group: A Game of Thrones, Hyperion, Leviathan Wakes and Cloud Atlas. I really love when we get a poll to choose the book, because I like the opportunity to vote for books I've read in the past (GoT, LW, Hyp) so that others can discover them.

I've only been following along since Foundation but my favorite so far is Wool Omnibus (Silo, #1).
That being said, my most appreciated reads were The Dirty Streets of Heaven and Bridge of Birds: A Novel of an Ancient China That Never Was. Those both stick out as books that scored very high on the "I never would have pulled this off the shelf" scale.
American Gods is one of my favorite books of all time but I won't count it as I wasn't following S&L at the time.

*Sidenote, I only started following S&L about a year and a half ago so I haven't read a lot of the earlier picks.
