You can watch Zombie fighter Jango on YouTube training for the zombie apocalypse. And also doing book reading from his book as well:)!! The book is The Road to He'll is Paved with Zombies, I've read it and its great!!:)
Hi all! My names Miranda, I'm a bookaholic. I read pretty much anything. Been reading quite a bit of zombie books as of late just recently ordered the as the world dies series cant wait for it to get here :)other then that im excited to talk books with you guys and gals
I've been reading lots of zombie books recently, I've just started Ian Woodhead s the Unwashed Dead. I've not heard of the world dies series, are they any good?
Angie wrote: "I've not heard of the world dies series, are they any good?"Rhiannon Frater's books are good, and the first one in this series is doing a group read currently. You can find lots of discussion surrounding it by clicking on this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Angie wrote: "I've been reading lots of zombie books recently, I've just started Ian Woodhead s the Unwashed Dead."And I've not read "The Unwashed Dead," but I'd like to give them a bar of soap or something ;) Any good?
Angie wrote: "I've been reading lots of zombie books recently, I've just started Ian Woodhead s the Unwashed Dead. I've not heard of the world dies series, are they any good?"Hugs to you Angie dear.
This months last book BOTM was the first book of that series. It was called The First Days
I think she must have caught you off guard by the series title rather than the first books title. ;-)
I've just gone and ordered the first days, so I should have it in a couple of days. It sounds good. The Unwashed Dead is set on a housing estate in northern England and it was crazy on the estate before the zombies turn up!
It does sound good,I like the books when something extra is added. That it under 15's struck down makes this just that bit different. Yes, I'll be reading this one as well!
I've had mixed results with Jacqueline Druga (the author of Nodding). Her characters seem to blend together. However, the last book I read of hers was pretty good.
I think I'll put Nodding on my Amazon wish list and wait for the reviews to come in.
Thank you Misty for bring the title to our attention.
Update: Nodding is on KLL (kindle lending library)
Hi everyone,Pop question of the day/evening.
What are or were your plans for this Halloween night?
I am staying home, watching movies and waiting for trucker treater's (if I get any).
Angie wrote: "I've got tales from the crypt on while I finish a couple of books."Sounds like a good idea.
I'm currently watching The Relic which is the movie based off the book
by Douglas Preston
Angie wrote: "I like watching the film after I've read the book. Hope your enjoying it:)"I've both read the book and watched the movie before.
I'm in a flash-from-the-past mood.
Only movies from the 80's or 90's tonight.
Yes I've been doing that all week. I've watched, or at least watched parts of, all the hellraiser films. They were a bit lame but watchable. Pinhead is still creepy.
Just a normal night here...although I am currently watching the MythBusters Zombie and Halloween specials.
No tricker treaters tonight so far but the night is young and the sun is just setting.I'm hoping to get enough to justify all the candy I purchased.
Netanella wrote: "Just finished trick-or-treating. We had two Batmans, a Devil Girl, and a Monster High mish mash."I'm jealous.
I think I might go to the street curb and throw the candy at the people walking by..
I came home from work and went to sleep. Going to go shower and then head to Atlanta for the Walker Stalker Convention. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.
I took my girlies out trick or treating. They're 11, 9 and 5 (turning 6 tomorrow!). They were a zombie bride, a vampire and a ghost, respectively. It was cold and windy, but last year we had a blizzard, so we counted ourselves lucky. Costumes always have to fit over winter coats and snow pants...
Don't throw it at them, Tammy! I'll send you my address ;)
We have a ton left over too. Whatever shall I do with it...

Oh, right - so my plans for the rest of the evening - they're going to bed, and I have to frantically search for wrapping paper for the little one's birthday tomorrow. Then I have some work to do while I watch cheesy horror movies. Usually we watch Shaun of the Dead on Hallowe'en, but The Hubs isn't home this year, so I'm skipping it.
Elizabeth wrote: "Usually we watch Shaun of the Dead on Hallowe'en ..."And I'm jealous. I just wanted "Monster High 13 Wishes
" for the bazillionth time.
Mine are on sugar overload too. Actually - so am I. Glurg.
I'm going to watch Beetlejuice! I would have to throw myself on my sword if I was forced to watch Monster High.

I got the panel assignments for Long Beach Comic and Horror Con today. I won't be on the panel with Jonathan Maberry, but I will be on one with NY Times bestsellers Christopher Rice, Nancy Holder, and Tamara Thorne. All of them are much more established authors than I am. So I am thrilled, but nervous and slightly intimidated, to be invited to join them for a panel discussion titled "Location, Location, Location" (followed by a book signing at the Mysterious Galaxy booth). Exciting stuff for a newbie indie!
It was awesome, Netanella. :) I had a great chat with Jonathon Maberry and spent an hour brainstorming with Nick Cole. Christopher Rice, Nancy Holder and Tamara Thorne were all gracious and welcoming to the newbie. My chat news for December is:
#1: Voyage of the Dead has been selected for the group read at Zombie Book of the Month Club on Facebook.
#2: Voyage of the Dead is FREE everywhere through Christmas BECAUSE:
#3 I've organized over a dozen authors to give away their books for free as part of the ApocaCon 2013 Download for the Troops through the USO and several other military websites. Some of the offerings are Amazon freebies on specific dates, but most are secret Coupon Codes on Smashwords that will only be offered to the troops.
Okay, so what is everyone else planning for the holidays?
Thanks for letting us know about Voyage of the Dead that was so on my want to read list I am so psyched! There are a lot of titles listed for free in the group through Amazon, but I read on a NOOK & was so happy to find a book I would've paid for for free on the Barnes & Noble site. My b-day is coming up & you've just given me a fantastic gift!
Nicole wrote: "Thanks for letting us know about Voyage of the Dead that was so on my want to read list I am so psyched! Of course the rest of the series is not free. ;) And not yet on B&N, but you can get a Nook/Epub version of the trilogy on Smashwords - if you like the first book. Bon Voyage.
And now back to your regularly scheduled programming... Anyone have any good zombie jokes?
"Why don't zombies take showers?"
"Because they prefer to soak in bath salts."

Hello, I'm Kathy from New Mexico, but originally from Dallas Tx. I love suspense, thriller, mystery, and horror, but zombie books have really held my interest for awhile now.

Is there a reason why this is a closed group where people need invitations to join? I've seen people on other groups mention they've tried to access the free zombie Kindle books topic, but couldn't get into the group to view the thread...
Randy,I believe the moderators closed this group several months ago when an author began creating fake puppet accounts to promote a book that we were reading for a Book of the Month read. Things got really ugly and the moderators made the group private to help control the paranoia amongst group members that had been created. We didn't know who we were talking to anymore. So pretty much, it seemed like everyone stopped talking.
Or at least, that's how I remember it....
Pretty much everyone who requests to join is added! I haven't encountered a spammer in the last month or so. Probably at this point we can set it back to public access. I'll do that now.
Hello! I am Will Once. I've been on Goodreads for a while and I'm slightly embarrassed that I haven't spotted this group before. So I'm popping in to say hello. My first novel - Love, Death and Tea - is a comedy told from the zombie's perspective for a change. A very British zombie. Because ... well, just because.
Has anyone else seen this? It's great--all the zombie extras from "Shaun of the Dead," before and after they were zombies! They did a great job with their continuity.http://imgur.com/a/WtdN7
Greetings from sunny Australia. My name is Beau and I am a big fan of all things zombie. I'm always on the lookout for long forgotten horror movies (especially zombie movies).
Hi! I just got back on Goodreads again. I would like some feed back on a story that I'm writing on Wattpad. PM me, if you want the link!
Hi y'all, my name is Rachel, and I live in Dallas, TX. I'm a big zombie fan, and just created a shelf for my zombie books. Any recommendations, I would apperciate it. Some of my favorite zombie shows are TWD, FearTWD, and Shaun of the Dead. Still discovering new zombie tv shows, movies, and books almost every day.
