Emma | 25 comments I have been very fortunate and a friend of mine told me she had a few books for me to read. The next day she turns up with 3 large boxes full - 104 books in total. I think I have enough reading for a while!

You'll love the Nicholas Sparks books, i.e, if you're a die-hard romance fan. The Best of Me and The Guardian are among my favorite Nick Sparks books, tho I wasn't much of a fan of The Choice.

Angela DeSilva (goodreadscomangela-desilva) | 20 comments I get my books and thrift stores for a buck each and Friends of the Library sale for 50 cents. I also check out books from the library putting the new releases on Hold prior to the release date.

message 273: by Tina (new)

Tina I also get my books at library sales. Ours are .25 cents a piece. But they only hold it very 3 months and it's humungous!!
And I go to yard sales and thrift stores. And treat myself once in a while to a new paperback!

message 274: by Angela (new)

Angela DeSilva (goodreadscomangela-desilva) | 20 comments My libraries all have a room full of books reserved for sale so its open all the time. There are some great books never been read or read once. Its mostly all donated books and once or twice a week volunteers shelve them according to genre. And yeah once in a while I buy a new paperback especially if the one I want has a huge wait list for holds at the library. I am a compulsive shopper and borderline book hoarder as my kids would say.
