From antique store, shelf of OLD books. Saw one on the top shelf with ruber bands around it and no Binder. When I brought it down pieces were falling apart. It had to have been old!! SO on the front a piece of paper said Memoirs of Benvenuto Cellini A Florentine artist 1883 How Incredible!! I can still read it and turn pages carefully. All for $2!!
Visited the amazing store Raven Used Books in Northampton, MA this morning and picked up the following:Slaughterhouse-Five
The Picture of Dorian Gray (a neat find, a new edition that include three other stories The Happy Prince, Lord Arthur Saville's Crime and "The Birthday of the Infanta")
Tell No One
Bad Monkeys
Mangrove Squeeze
I have been very fortunate and a friend of mine told me she had a few books for me to read. The next day she turns up with 3 large boxes full - 104 books in total. I think I have enough reading for a while!

You'll love the Nicholas Sparks books, i.e, if you're a die-hard romance fan. The Best of Me and The Guardian are among my favorite Nick Sparks books, tho I wasn't much of a fan of The Choice.

Thanks Ruchi. I watched the movie of Best of Me, so I think I'll skip on that. I will check out 'the Guardian' :)
I get my books and thrift stores for a buck each and Friends of the Library sale for 50 cents. I also check out books from the library putting the new releases on Hold prior to the release date.

I also get my books at library sales. Ours are .25 cents a piece. But they only hold it very 3 months and it's humungous!!And I go to yard sales and thrift stores. And treat myself once in a while to a new paperback!
My libraries all have a room full of books reserved for sale so its open all the time. There are some great books never been read or read once. Its mostly all donated books and once or twice a week volunteers shelve them according to genre. And yeah once in a while I buy a new paperback especially if the one I want has a huge wait list for holds at the library. I am a compulsive shopper and borderline book hoarder as my kids would say.

My parents bought me books yesterday ^_^ They hardly ever buy me books, most of the book buying I do is by saving pocket money and buying books from cheap book stores near my school :P So yesterday was a real surprise (and treat) when my parents agreed to buy me books! I bought :

"Loved The Ocean at the End of the Lane, a neat story that makes for a good escape to a different time and place. Gaiman is just so good at creating alternate realities!
