Yes, Oktoberfest is actually IN September - the end part of september into the beginning part of Oct (I think it's a 16 or 17 day celebration). Here's some history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oktoberfest
I used to always miss my local celebration because I always thought it was in October :)

I had no idea, I thought it was just one weekend in October. I'm not a big beer drinker so I never really paid close attention. I like history though, so I will defiantly look over the wiki page. Thanks!

I apologize, I started this challenge the other day and I wrote my choices down on a piece of paper but forgot to put them in a post! I started my goal at 5 books. If I am able to read more I will update it. I don't want to get carried away - I'm going to be starting graduate school on September 23 for my MA in English, and I'm sure I will have tons of reading to keep me busy for that! (And for some reason I also read very slow!) So here's what I have so far:#4 Book Lover's Day:
#6C Group Anniversary/YA Book:
#7 Hispanic Heritage Month:
#8A Oktoberfest/Book Set in Germany:
#9 World Clean-Up Day:
I really want to read The Longest Ride when it comes out on September 24th for the new release, but we'll see how it goes with grad school. I'm not going to count this book as one of my 5 just yet! (And I know Sparks isn't considered YA, but I still want to read it! And every once in a while I do see posts with regular fiction books in them!)
