And, is it only books from the authors in this group? Because, I think it should be books that we want to choose.

Well the point is to help the authors in this group that are requesting Read and Reviews, so I'd like for people to start there, I will have to talk with other admin to see if I should change that rule.... The dates are:
Start: Wed. July 24
End: Wed. August 21
It's 4 weeks

I have changed rule 3, so take a look at the new rule 3 and tell me what you think! I think it's a lot better esp. with the changes being made to the RaR's. And thank you to everyone for the honest feed back, like I said I'm learning as I go and everything is a help, even if you tell me "Crystal that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of", I'm happy to know how y'all really feel.

Question-Should I also include ARC reviews? I don't know how that would work unless the book is on goodreads but not published and they could do the reviews only on GR?

Another Question- For the challenge should all of the members playing review on amazon and GR as a minimum or just GR and anything else is just a plus for the author, unless its a RaR with specific requests?

as far as reviewing on Amazon, Amazon has some tricky policies regarding authors reviewing other authors that no one seems to really understand. I don't post reviews to Amazon because I'm an author and I don't otherwise have a review history so I'm concerned they might decide my reviews look suspicious, like I'm doing review swaps or some other gaming of the system. Also, for independent authors, having reviews suddenly show up from people who don't otherwise have a review history makes people think you just got your family and friends to write a bunch of fake reviews.

So I would say, if it's a reader who already has a review history on Amazon, posting reviews to Amazon would be great, but in other situations, like what I described, it might do more harm than good.

Wow, that seems kinda dumb. Who better to review a book then another author. Well it is what it is, so I will go with this, if you are doing RaRs from this group you have to review the places the author requested unless it will cause an issue ( like Kyra stated in her comment) just say you couldn't post to Amazon. In the challenge its not the number of reviews written that count, I'm counting the number of books read to review. You HAVE to atleast post a review to Goodreads, place else we will consider a "bonus" for the author.
How does that sound??
Thanks for pointing that out Kyra as a reviewer only I never knew if these things, and its this type of feedback I'm looking for. So if anyone else has any suggestions, comments, concerns, ect... Please tell me. Again I am not a person easily offended or one to get their feelings hurt, do feel free to say what's on your mind!

yeah, it kind of sucks. a few writers really abused the review system, so now it seems like we're all under suspicion. There's been different versions/interpretations of the policy, like people with a financial interest in the success or failure of a book can't review it, or writers can't review other books in the same genre. It's never made very clear, so I just prefer to stay on the safe side. But like I said, writers who already have an established review history on Amazon can probably review with less chance of getting their reviews pulled or getting themselves or the author they're reviewing into trouble than if someone with no previous review history suddenly starts writing glowing (or bad) reviews for other authors in the same genre.

I'm surprised Amazon lets people post reviews for books not bought through them. If you don't but the book on Smashwords you cannot review it on their site. But I guess if you read a book from the library you should have the right to review it.
