Scott - bad boys are not big and they are not clever. Nora's mam - where you at? Vi - you are literally the only likable character. Also, I totally didn't see Marcie's Dad and Nora's mum being a thing but I bet, just like Marcie and Patch it is all a big misunderstanding. (hide spoiler)]

The rest is just endless misunderstandings and miscommunications between all the characters that could have all been solved in one proper conversation. Silence, Chapter 1: (view spoiler)[The last three paragraphs of this chapter was very intense. A sensation grabbed my heart, tugging and twisting. My body went slack, tottering in the air. I saw the gold blur of the street lights above, heard the river lapping under the bridge, smelled the exhaust from his running car. But it was all in the background. A dizzy afterthought. With only that brief warning, I felt myself swaying. Falling into nothing. I was unconscious before I hit the ground. I wonder what will happen now. All I know is that this book is going to be better than Crescendo was. (hide spoiler)]

Silence, Chapter 6: (view spoiler)[ I really love the writing style of this book and the story is engaging and has my interest. I especially love this part: I flung myself inside the Volkswagen, wondering why I'd ever believed I could waltz back into my life and expect to pick up right where things had left off. Because that was exactly it. Things hadn't left off. They'd moved on without me. I found this piece of writing to be sweet. It showed Nora's adjustment back from the "graveyard." Also, it shows how much she wants her life to be normal. (hide spoiler)]

How could you lie to your daughter like that when she is trying to figure out things about her life? That just seems cruel and unfair to Nora. I've never read it before. But I've been meaning to buy and read the series for years. I always would pick it up at Barnes & Noble and then i'd end up putting it back down. Lol. So when someone from this group said they wanted to buddy read it, I finally went and bought the book. :D
