I am now 100 pages into Midnight's Children. Though amazing, and amazingly dense, I wonder if I am going to be able to finish it.

First List book of the year for me - Pale Fire by Nabokov. I love Nabokov, but have no clue about poetry, so it's a dilemma.
The Mill on the Floss. I am really looking forward to this one. I've only been able to get to about page 3 so far, but I'm already enjoying it!
The Shining!! I'm actually about half way through and loving it. Pretty exceptional considering I cover my eyes at anything slightly horrific.
Hi everyone, I am new to this group.Just started Mrs. Dalloway, which isn't 'easy' to read, but so readable!

Welcome to you ^_^
Starting:Worstward Ho by Samuel Beckett - The most unusual prose that i've read so far - Here is the first line: On. Say on. Be said on. Somehow on. Till nohow on. Said nohow on.
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf - Classic ,stream of consciousness, family drama
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo On page 154, and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.and
Daniel Deronda by George Eliot Only just beginning.
I kick off every year with a "Big Read" - this year it's Les Misérables. I'm also about halfway through Pale Fire. So far, so good.
I've started The Children's Book and I'm waiting for White Teeth to arrive so I can start out group read.
Hi I am Susan and new to the group. I was able to squeeze in Silas Marner which I liked very much while finishing Winter's Tale which was beautifully written but a challenge to stick with. I needed somethinga little lighter than White Teeth so opted for Forsyte Saga.
The Monastery - ScottThe Monastery
Still reading the Introduction, but I'm looking forward to the adventure.
Maeve wrote: "Casino Royale by Ian Fleming... glad to finally read the impetus for 50 years of films!"It's such a good book! I plan on reading all the bond books :)
I started Middlemarch by George Eliot yesterday, because I enjoyed Silas Marner so much. It's about 900 pages, so I'll probably still be reading it in March!
