Sam trembled in pain as he finished cleaning his wounds. He stumbled back to his room and carefully taking his shirt off and attempted but failed to sleep all night.
Carmen shivered pleasantly at his touch. "I know." she said softly, reaching down and kissing his cheek impulsively. She blushed helped him sit up, taking off his shirt so she could disinfect the wounds.
"I know, it stings.' she said softly. She bandaged his shoulders as quickly as possible and gently laid him down, trying to keep the ever sagging neckline of her shirt up. "Just rest, okay?" she murmured, giving him a quilt.
She stayed next to him, rubbing his arm as he trembled. She gazed down at him, admiring his rather handsome features. She folded up the shirt and put it on the table. She got a wet cloth and laid in on his forehead, knowing that fever often came with injuries.
After about an hour Sam opened his eyes. He sat up rubbing his eyes. He had a stinging pain in his shoulders but it was light enough he could ignore it.
Carmen fell asleep, breathing heavily.
