Carmen returned a few hours later carrying a deer carcus.

Sam poked his head out the kitchen,"Welcome back." he stepped out of the kitchen,"And I see you've brought a friend." he said taking a seat.
"No, I brought dinner.' she pointed out.
"I can see that." he said running a hand through his hair.
He shrugged,"Not sure." he admitted,"Now go refrigerate that before it gets all gross like."
"What?" he asked confused at her confusion.
"Oh dear lord no." he said getting up. He took a deep breath and stood by her side and pointed to the kitchen,"That big room that is really cold. That is refrigerator." he said wondering how she didn't know what a refrigerator was.
"You mean the lean to?" she said in confusion.
He sighed and grabbed her hand taking her to the kitchen. He let go of her hand and walked to the end of the kitchen opening the metal door and a gust of cols air came out,"Refrigerator." he said gesturing to the inside.
"Oh, that thing." she scoffed. "We don't need it."
He sighed and closed the door,"And why is that?" he asked turning to face her.
"I have a system." sge said, beginning to slice the deer wit er sharp nails.
"Alright." he said walking out of the kitchen ignoring that she used her nails to cut the meat.
He watched her wondering what she was up to now. He started to get a growing suspicion.
She gently lowered the deer into the hole and covered it up.
"What is she doing?" he asked himself still watching her.
She came in, wiping off the dirt on her pants.
"What does burying the meat do?" he asked tilting his head to the side.
"So why do you do it?" he asked feeling his suspicion being confirmed
"I'm sure it does." he said sitting back giving a half smile.
He stood,"You should go wash the blood and dirt off your hands." he said patting her arm and walking over to his room.
He stopped and turned to look at her,"That's unsanitary." he said and sat down.
"So is laying on the ground without s shirt." she muttered.
He smiled,"I heard that and maybe you're right but I get uncomfortable when I try to sleep with a shirt on." he said looking her straight in the eyes.
Carmen blushed st the intensity of his gaze and looked away.
He smiled again relaxing against the wall resting hid hands on the back of his head.
Carmen went to her room and polished her bow.
Sam sat quietly trying to put together evidence to back up his suspicion.
She snuck out the small opening in the back door of the lean to and walked quickly to the store.
He slowly started to connect things together. Like the way she ate raw meat, her canines, he sharp nails. He put everything together but wasn't going to say that was the solution until he had solid proof.
Carmen picked up some new clothes, hoping these wouldn't rip.
Sam noticed it was quiet but didn't try to see why. He stayed put waiting for her to say or do anything still unaware that she had left.
Carmen quickly came back and put the clothes away in s cardboard box.
Sam heard the movement from her room and sighed moving to lay down. If his suspicion was wrong the he would end up sounding crazy
Carmen examined her scars from the last full moon. Three slashes on her ribs and leg, and a long gauge on her arm. She sighed.
"So...there are werewolves here huh?" he said quietly.
Carmen froze. She poked her head from her room. "Yea..."
"Any idea how many?" he asked keeping a calm expression.
Carmen eyed him. Did he know about her... secret? "No." she said cautiously.
He nodded,"You must be able to hear the howls during full moons huh?" he continued.
Carmen set her teeth. "Yes." she said stiffly.
"Ever wonder where they live?" he continued on. He could sense her discomfort.
