Chris (cdavies1951) | 189 comments What is the "5th Level of Zoo Death"? I HAVE TO KNOW!

... and just finished: A Beginner's Guide to Rakes (Scandalous Brides, #1) by Suzanne Enoch

message 54: by Emily (new)

Emily It's in The Princess Bride (the book), and I really wished that it was incorporated into the movie. The Prince keeps all of his deadliest animals in here and releases them to hunt them. Oh and it's underground and the 5th level is the lowest. I'm kind of on a Princess Bride kick as of late.

message 56: by Karen ⊰✿ (new)

Karen ⊰✿ I think I'm going to try and instigate a Princess Bride buddy read for around October ;)

message 57: by Vi (new)

Vi I think I'm the only person in the whole world who didn't like The Princess Bride. Of course, when I read it, I didn't know there was a movie so I was a little surprised at the support.

message 58: by Karen ⊰✿ (new)

Karen ⊰✿ I've only seen the movie (3 thousand times), but I've noticed on the tarot reading challenge three people intending to read the book, and I'm sure there are others. I just can't fit it in for a while!

I thought I was like the only person on the planet that did not like this book. I agree with you. I think it was a cool concept, but just an overdone plot with absolutely no surprises.

Did you like it Nichole? That's next on my audtiobook list.

message 73: by Nichole (new)

Nichole I did! I gave it 4 stars. It's short but very sweet and I have liked every LK book that I've ever read.

Rebecca NJ (njreader) | 297 comments @Nichole - Cool! I'll let you know what I think :)

message 75: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) I love this series as well. All 4 books are good in my opinion, even though some people didn't like it.

message 76: by Nichole (new)

Nichole Enjoy Rebecca!

Leslie- This didn't feel like typical LK, but she is still Awesome! I'm looking forward to the next book. Which one was your favorite?

message 77: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) No, I agree! Very different - which is why some people didn't like the series. But I loved it. I think the 3rd one was my favorite. I love a tortured hero and a heroine that cooks! Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

I can see why it is popular - I think as a teenage girl this book would be amazing. Or if I didn't read alot of dytopia I may find it pretty cool. Or if I just loved Cinderella type fairytales....
But I'm none of those things! I didn't like that the whole plot "twist" was at the very start of the book (and not hard to guess) and then it wasn't revealed until the last few pages as a "clifhanger". I only finished the book as it was easy enough to read, but if it wasn't for the TT challenge I probably would've just given up on it!
