Grats Zuzana! What'd you think of the Dr. Who book? Have you read others? I've been debating on whether to read them or not.

Doctor Who: The Stone Rose is the only Doctor Who book I have read and for a tie-in novel it was quite good, not excellent, not great, but good. It is a stand-alone adventure so despite being no.9 in the series you can pick it up without checking out the previous books. I think it captured the tone of the show and what's more important the MC's interactions, quite well. There were a couple or so of really nice Ten/Rose moments that I liked. On the other hand, this book is meant more for children than for adults, which means that the "mystery" and its solution is really simple to the point of being boring.
I have read much more in the Torchwood fandom so if you're interested I can recommend a couple of good books. :)

If you ever decide to read the Torchwood books start with The House That Jack Built. It's the only one I felt had both the spot-on characterization and a decent storyline. It's a haunted house story set after season 2. If you don't like this one, don't bother with the rest as they are nowhere near as good (as I learnt the hard way).
