Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Hmm, well Patrick, I just dropped the price on Toes Up to ninety nine cents, so it's dirt cheap right now.

message 502: by Rick (new)

Rick Shepard I put Nos4a2 down for this week, and I'm currently reading Screamscapes and following up with Toes Up.

Reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt . It's one of the best books I've read this year.

Heck, I may give that one a go then, Terri.

message 505: by [deleted user] (new)

message 512: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (michellekobus) Finished Midnight yesterday, now I'm reading The Final Descent (The Monstrumologist #4). I'm 78% done. I'm hoping I can finish it when I have some free time this evening.

message 513: by Sam (new)

Sam Arnold (samharnold) Reading Alex Ferguson: My Autobiography which as a United fan is keeping me enthralled.

Angie | 623 comments Terri wrote: "Reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. It's one of the best books I've read this year."

This sounds great, so I checked on Amazon, it's only a £1 more to buy it as a hardback than a kindle version. I'll get the hardback. It means waiting but I reckon it'll be worth it.

message 515: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shelld79) I'm currently reading a bit of a mixed bag at the moment which includes The Carrie Diaries, Odd Thomas, Darkness First: A McCabe and Savage Thriller and Vampires Don't Sparkle! plus I'm also listening to 11/22/63 on audio.
For some reason I've been a bit distracted lately and can't seem to manage to focus on just one book.

message 517: by Lina (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) I'm starting Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare today. Can't wait! Just finished the second book in the series, and it was amazing.

☆Joycedale☆ | 307 comments Onyx can't believe I wanted so long to read this series

message 519: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently reading Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons and A Curious Man The Strange and Brilliant Life of Robert "Believe It or Not!" Ripley by Neal Thompson . Both are quite good.

I'm definitely enjoying it a lot at the moment. I just wish I had more time to listen to it so I could get through it faster!

Happy reading, Scott!

message 525: by Dustin (new)

Dustin It's been awhile but currently I'm less than 200 pages short of finishing A Dance with Dragons. I'm loving it!! Can't wait to see how this one turns out!

message 526: by Jason (new)

Jason Parent | 69 comments I didn't think Dance was as bad as others seem to have thought. I did find the Dani sections mostly boring, though. Glad you're liking it!

message 527: by Scott (new)

Scott Thanks Dustin. Hope all is well...haven't seen you in a while.

Dany's chapters are somewhat dull, but they get sooo intense later on. I'm not done yet (roughly 77%,) but it's certainly not one of my least favorites of the series. It's high up on my Top 5, actually. Thank you, Jason.

message 530: by Scott (new)

Scott I recently finished Roadwork and The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts. Now I'm reading Cujo.

message 531: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (michellekobus) Just finished The Vile Village, now reading The Hostile Hospital. I want to finish rereading the whole Series of Unfortunate Events books before the end of the year.

message 535: by Patrick (new)

Patrick (patn76) | 60 comments I'm a little late to the party, but I'm enjoying The Hunger Games. I have the second one ready for when I'm finished with this one. Trying to get back into the reading habit with work and all. I broke my Kindle so I'm getting a new one for Christmas. But I was enjoying the Light Brothers work but they are now on hold. C'mon Santa!

That's okay, Patrick. I have not read The Hunger Games yet, either.

message 537: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (michellekobus) I've only read the first installment in the Hunger Games trilogy. It wasn't for me, for a lot of reasons I don't have the energy to discuss. LOL :)
