I'm reading The Sparkling One (not YA) but needed a buffer in between YA books.

I'm rereading Sunshine by Robin McKinley for my bookclub. I love it but almost didn't reread it because I have so much to do, but I decided to go for it, and I'm glad. I love being back in Sunshine's mind.
Oh well I decided and am currently reading Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Free Throws . . . so far so good, just as I would expect with Janette Rallison!!

Misty - Sure :) I'm slowly but surely moving along.Arya - I'm also making progress with Airhead. Although I must say that it's taking a back seat when compared to Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris.
I am halfway into Incarceron and I am loving it. It is always wonderful when you find yourself totally immersed in a book right from the first page.
I've just started Sight based on Misty's recommendation. So far, so good. It has a bit of the same feel as Lisa McMann's Wake, which I really, really liked. This should be a quick read for me, hoping to finish tomorrow... Then onto the The Bermudez Triangle like I'd originally planned for this week.

I actually liked it more than Elsewhere and I'd definitely recommend it. I just found out that there's a Japanese/Korean movie based on the story.

I will. I loved If I Stay and have Looking For JJ on it's way to me now, so I'm pretty sure I'll like this one if you did. What do you think of 20 Boy Summer so far?
I'm reading an adult paranormal book right now... The Warlord Wants Forever. It's very adult, much like the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I'm reading two of this series in exchange for my friend (who loves these) reading The Knife of Never Letting Go. It's worth a bit of vamp porn to get her to read my fave!
I am reading City of Glass. I *loved* the first book, was disappointed by the second - hoping number three redeems the series! ;)Although not YA, also reading Congo by Michael Crichton.
I just finished Princess of Glass by Jessica Day George
and I just started reading Wide Awake Princess by E.D. Baker
. This is surprisingly good so far. I couldn't put it down last night....
I'm just finishing up Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris and then I'm back to YA. Roshini, what do you think of Bloom so far? I ordered it last week, so I'm waiting for it to arrive. :)
Alyson wrote: "I just finished re-reading A Wrinkle In Time. About to start Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce."What'd you think of AWIT as a re-read? I LOVED the series as a kid, but when I reread it last year I was bummed it didn't grab me anymore. :(
Roshini wrote: "I just started Bloom by Elizabeth Scott."that's one of my favorite Elizabeth Scott along with Something, Maybe and The Unwritten Rule.
I just finished Rules of Attraction and loved it! I'm now reading Intertwined and having a little trouble getting through it. I just am not caring about the characters that much...

Actually that was how I felt too...it some how had lost the magic.

I just finished Bloom, and I can say I liked it, but didn't love it. But I would like to read other books by Elizabeth Scott. Lani, are there any others you recommend besides Something, Maybe and The Unwritten Rule? By the way, I'm dying to read Rules of Attraction but it's not available here yet!
Angela, let me know what you think of Bloom when you read it. Now I'm trying to decide what to read next - I'm going on vacation so I don't want something too heavy. I'm considering re-reading When It Happens by Susane Colasanti.
Question? Has anyone here read anything by Jennifer Echols? Any standouts that you would recommend? I am not a huge chick-lit fan but have noticed that some people seem to really like her books?!
Roshini- It's a little heavier and not quite as romantic, but Love You Hate You Miss You is a good Scott novel. It's a quick read. I also enjoyed Perfect You.Alyson-I absolutely love Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols! That would be my top recommendation. Her other books Major Crush and Endless Summer are very chick-lit, although I really enjoyed them too.
I think what I like about Going Too Far is that it surprised me. I read the back cover and expected just a cheesy romance novel, but the characters had a lot more depth. She also did a great job with the will-they-won't-they senario. She gives just enough romance for my taste, but still keeps me guessing.I also feel that her stories develop well, along with her characters. I only have one bone to pick with the character of Lori in Endless Summer (not The Boys Next Door-both books are bound in one cover).
Lani - My public library seems to be lacking as far as Jennifer Echols' books go. I will see if I can find the one you recommended from another source. I would really rather borrow one than buy it. But thanks for the feedback.

Thanks Lani. I'll definitely try to pick those up. Libraries and book rental stores don't seem to stock many YA books, which is why I have to buy everything!
I've finally started The Bermudez Triangle! I'm about 1/3 of the way in, and it's good so far. I'm definitely wanting to see how it all plays out.
