What Are You Reading Now?
Just finished the ARC of LINGER by Maggie Steifvater. Heart-wrenching but I loved it. Back to finishing up Under My Skin.
I am reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure by Susan K Marlow, and Not for Packrats Only by Don Aslett.
I'm reading The Forgotten Garden on my Kindle and am also reading Sixteen: Stories About That Sweet and Bitter Birthday. I'm intrigued by The Forgotten Garden and am liking it so far, but I had to take a bit of a breather which is why I started Sixteen. I'm loving all of the stories in it so far and they are exactly what I'm in the mood for.
It's not YA, but I started the audio of The Cat Who Said Cheese today... HOLY COW, it's an appropriate title, because the writing is REALLY cheesy. Like Nancy Drew, but for adults. Like Murder She Wrote. I'm glad it's an audio... I'll just listen to it in the car, then it will be over eventually...
Holy crap. I just finished Being Nikki... HOLY CLIFFHANGER, BATMAN! And book 3 (Runaway) doesn't come out until June 1st!! :P on Meg Cabot!
I am reading The Screwtape Letters, Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure, and Not for Packrats Only.
I'm reading (listening to) A Brief History of Montmaray. I've read that it moves much faster after a while. I hope so!
Reading the 'Iron King' at the moment, it's pretty interesting but not the best YA I've read by a long shot. I like that the main character has developed and seems a lot more sure of herself and stronger as the story progresses. I would have liked it if a little more insight had been given into her relationship with Ash (forbidden love, really? Forbidden crush is more the word, and based on what I'm still not entirely sure) Puck and even her brother whom she's willing to sacrifice everything for (despite spending the initial introduction to this character almost complaining about how everyone else viewed him) - but that's a fairly general typical issue of mine with YA fiction, either way not too bad!
I'm not typically a fan of faerie lore (for reasons I've noted in other discussion threads re fickleness etc)but following some recommendations on here I thought I'd give it a go! Also planning on reading Earthsea quartet - have been meaning to for a while so might as well get it over and done with!
I was reading Enna Burning... and finished it in just over 1 sitting... Oh, and I read Just Ella in the last couple of days... ;) And now I'm listening to Island of the Blue Dolphins.
Just finished Deadly Little Lies. Now I am going to continue reading Meg Cabot's Mediator series by reading #3 Reunion and #4 Darkest Hour. BTW- When you Reach me was great and really deserved the Newbery.
I just finished Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure by Susan K Marlow. I give it 3 1/2 stars. I am now reading The Screwtape Letters, Not for Packrats Only, Rebecca, and am about to start listening to A Great and Terrible Beauty.
Alisha wrote: "I just started The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale."Oooh! I hope you like it! I just finished Book 2 in that series (Enna Burning) and picked up Book 3... (River Secrets) :)
I'm reading Poison. Surprisingly immaginative. I really don't like the cover - looks sort of creepy - but the inside is turning out to be good. Love the way Mr. Wooding spells "Phaeries" - reminds me of "pharoh"!
I finally finished readingArcher's Goon. I finished listening to Dial-a-Ghost, the The Awakening, and Sandry's Book. Am currently listening to Book of a Thousand Days.
Arya wrote: "I'm reading Poison. Surprisingly immaginative. I really don't like the cover - looks sort of creepy - but the inside is turning out to be good. Love the way Mr. Wooding spells "Ph..."I liked Poison, and was a bit disappointed (and relieved!) to find that it was published 2003 so it doesn't look like there will be a sequel.
Oh REALLY!! I JUST finished it this morning and I was hoping for a sequel. . .I want to know what happens to AZALEA and BRAM and if PEPPERCORN ever finds true love!
Finished The Dead-Tossed Waves and I really enjoyed it! I felt that it gave a whole new life to The Forest of Hands and Teeth.
I am now reading The Lost Queen. @ AngelaSunshine -
Any other "Wooding" books that you would recommend?

I haven't read any others by him yet, but I do have Malice in my bookcase. I'm hoping it's good!
Kellee wrote: "Finished The Dead-Tossed Waves and I really enjoyed it! I felt that it gave a whole new life to The Forest of Hands and Teeth."I totally agree. I liked DTW a lot, and that made me understand and like FHT better as well!
I'm not reading a YA book at the moment. I'm reading I think the last one I did read was Blue Moon by Alyson Noel. Part of the Immortals series.

That is great news to hear. Looking forward to reading it now.
I just finished Strange Angels and about to start Looking for JJ. I pretty excited about challenge 4 because it is really going to push me to read things I never would have without the challenge.

=D
You just increased my happy for the day.
Just started Eyes Like Stars. Been wanting to read it, and have to read it for my book club, so I figured why not work it into the challenge, too? I am using it for 4.25, so something interesting should come out of it...
Misty wrote: "I've been wanting to read that; I've heard great things."I heard him speak about it at my Barnes and Noble and it sounded fascinating! I am pretty excited about jumping in.
I'm reading The Wife's Tale: A Novel, Lori Lansen's new novel. Lori wrote The Girls, one of my favorite novels. There is an ongoing discussion with Lori right now, too at http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/3... -- So cool!
