What Are You Reading Now?

I just finished that one last week. I loved it.
Right now I'm reading SPLENDOR, the fourth in The Luxe series. I've loved all 4 of them.

There's going to be three in the series >_<
Linger comes out 2010

Well you are on a great reading streak, Roshini. Elsewhere, Shiver, and Catching Fire are all just amazing.

Thanks, L.J. I did some reading up on Maggie's Website and other sources before her chat on Wild Things today and found out to my delight that there would be two more in the Shiver books. Maggie was a fantastic guest author to talk to.

I'm sad I missed today's chat. My tiny one has come down with her very first ear infection so we spent a good part of the day at the pediatrician.

I really liked the first Benedict Society book...it was cute!

I just got through reading The Lovely Bones and it started out good but then I got really bored with it because there was just to much fluff in the middle that was unnecessary. I skimmed through the last 10 or 15 pages.
I am now starting Thirteen Reasons Why. What do you guys think of this one?

I've read Inkheart and its sequel, Inkspell and really enjoyed them both. I have the third and final book in the series, Inkdeath, that I plan to read soon.

I finished Catching Fire and now I'm kicking myself for reading it when I have to wait another year to find out what happens! Talk about a cliffhanger!
Just started on 'The Adoration of Jenna Fox'. Anyone read that?

City Of Glass

I have read the Adoration of Jenna Fox...in my opinion is was ok, not all that great but not bad. I guess I just wasn't really impressed but I hope you like it.

Will let you know what I thought of it:-) My thoughts still keep going back to Catching Fire...
Hi David, I haven't read the Mortal Instruments series, heard a lot about it though. Good?

Just finished Lightning Thief... really fun. The rest of the books are coming in a spiral, so I'm really excited about reading the rest of them!
Now reading two mysteries, a classic Christie (They Do It With Mirrors) and a Montalbano mystery (The Terra-Cotta Dog)
both are light and perfect right now, cause I have a few bricks coming up on TBR!!

Jinnifer, you're going from one tearjerker to another. After reading Life as We Knew It, I was utterly exhausted. I just went through so many emotions while reading that book and cried a ton. I had to pick up a nice, fluffy, book right after. Still, it was an amazing book.

I just finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and I'm now halfway through Graceling by Kristin Cashore.

I am just starting Graceling as well :)
I listened to The Graveyard Book narrated by Neil Gaiman and it made the experience even better! Did you enjoy it as well? It is one of the only recent Newbery Medal winners that I completely agree with.
I really liked Graceling!!! I couldn't get into The Graveyard Book, I don't know what it was

Hello Kellee,
I hope you enjoy Graceling! :) I'm already halfway and I'm truly enjoying Cashore's writing.
I LOVED The Graveyard Book! I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading it but Gaiman has a wonderful way of telling a story. And I enjoyed Bod's adventures. This was my first Gaiman book and after reading it, I searched for his other books and found American Gods, Coraline and Anansi Boys to be very interesting. I'm planning to read books by Gaiman. :)

Kellee, I am already withering away waiting for the third book and I only finished it last weekend! I think it said Fall 2010 on the Scholastic website. Pls let me know if you have better news for me :-)

I agree, Kellee. He is an awesome reader for his books.

After I finish The Yankees Years (Non-Fiction not YA)
I plan on reading Poison Study (YA)
Kellee wrote: "I am teaching The Lightning Thief this year. A really great series!"
I just wrote in my review that I wish I had had this book when I was at school... would have made remembering the greek myths so much easier!
@David: Yay Poison Study. Really good.

I just got finished with Life as we knew it...really good! Scary but good. Now I am starting Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix and then I am going to Sent

Sent I felt was a bit of a let-down and seemed to be written to a younger audience. not sure how to explain it but it felt "fake".
I'm glad to hear that Found was good...thanks David ;)
