woopsy daisys. hmm, I didn't consider that as a spoiler though- i thought everyone knew that..?? I haven't been reading it lately though, with my exams and all...so I could be wrong bout the romance...
I haven't heard ANYTHING about Catching Fire except that's it's freaking awesome! I'm so excited... the library is supposed to have it ready for me to pick up today!! YAY!
So we can expect to hear your thoughts on it tomorrow? :-) You won't be able to stop once you start it.
Sara ♥ wrote: "I haven't heard ANYTHING about Catching Fire except that's it's freaking awesome! I'm so excited... the library is supposed to have it ready for me to pick up today!! YAY!"I envy you the excitement of reading it. I was hooked. Curious to know what you think of some of the more crucial aspects of the story...

Ooh, you're in for a good time all around.
You will NOT BELIEVE what I did. I decided to take a nap this afternoon, as I was completely exhausted. So I went to sleep at like 2:45... and GRRRRRR!!! When I woke up, it was 5:15! 15 minutes AFTER the library closes!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!! So I don't have Catching Fire yet, and I'm pretty pissed at myself. SO, I'll be reading Graceling tonight... which I've been meaning to read since it came out.
And Amelia—Reflex is going on my TBR list, for sure! Have you read Jumper: Griffin's Story? What's up with that one? If I had to guess, I'd say we meet Griffin in Reflex, then this is his back story. Not sure which order I'm supposed to read them in...
I've done stuff like that before. It closes earlier on Fridays, so I get busy and before you know it...nothing for me until Monday, cause I know I won't make it on Sat, and it's closed on Sun...Very irritating.
I'm currently reading I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You. I'm not too far into it, but I like it so far. It seems to me like a more younger version of the movie DEBS.
Sara ♥ wrote: "I haven't heard ANYTHING about Catching Fire except that's it's freaking awesome! I'm so excited... the library is supposed to have it ready for me to pick up today!! YAY!"well, im very sorry you missed out on it, but you'll cherish it even nore once you get it ;D enojy itt!!

I really liked those series, although they were a bit too much about boys if you unserdstand...but overall they were pretty good! I want to know what you think of the other books in the series if you decide to continue them...

At first I thought, "Oh no! She didn't get it! How disappointing." And then I saw that you were reading Graceling instead and realized it all worked out just fine. Loved Graceling!
Um, yeah. I'm 295 pages into Graceling (471 total), and I'm kicking myself for not having read this sooner. I am IN LOVE with Po. Wow. Now must go finish it so I can start Catching Fire!
Yeah, I was a Po fan, too. Hard not to be, I think.I finished my book club read (it was ehh...), and I think I am going to start reading Witch Child, but I'm not positive. Not sure what I'm in the mood for.
I've already got Catching Fire from the library, and I've only got 50 pages left in Graceling, which I'm freaking loving!!
After picking up An Echo in the Bone at the Diana Gabaldon book signing and talk last night, I will be busy with it for the next week or more. My husband, who is home for a few weeks before going to a new base, will also need attention. So, my YA reading is going to suffer for a short bit. However, I did pick up Swindle by Gordon Korman at the bookstore last night and am looking forward to it. I loved his No More Dead Dogs.
No idea whether this is a YA book. But I am gonna be reading Five on a Treasure Island - Enid Blyton
I started The Book of Dead Days last night and just wasn't feeling it. Has anyone else read this?I dunno, might move on to Witch Child. Or I might just read some stories out of Grimm's Grimmest until I have a chance to go to the library.
I finished up Witch Child, which was excellent, and makes me want to read some non-fiction on the witch trials, even though it freaks me out. Started Thirsty, which I am already loving. I've owned this for years, and I don't know why I waited so long to read it.

Misty, I have had Thirsty for years, too, and I still haven't read it. I think I'll move it up on my list to read before the year is out. Thanks for the positive feedback on it.

I figured now is the time, with Halloween and all. I'm working it into my Helluva Halloween challenge.
I'm just about done with Thirsty, which is amusing me to no end. I just went to the library yesterday, and it was like the heavens opened for me. It was raining books. So I'm not sure what I'm going to read next, but I have:The Ask and the Answer
Her Fearful Symmetry
Y The Last Man Vol. 1 Unmanned
Gil's All Fright Diner,Practical Demonkeeping
Death Makes a Holiday A Cultural History of Halloween
and The Good Ghouls' Guide to Getting Even waiting for me to read.
PLUS I won a copy of Sea Glass at book club last night. (squee!)
Yes, and I loved it.I'm reading Y for my Halloween challenge. "girlfriend starter comic" -- that's cute.
Ummm... so Catching Fire was freaking amazing! I loved it! Wanted to kill Snow, but loved it! The cliffhanger ending? Usually I HATE those, but I LOVED IT!! :) The last line rocked my socks... Suzanne Collins can WRITE. Book 3 is going to be unbelievable!Next up: City of Ashes
Fiona wrote: "I started Spook Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach a couple of days ago (it's called Six Feet Over in the UK though) and just realised it's perfect for October of course! Hee..."I'm going to read that for Halloween, too! And maybe Stiff The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Misty wrote: "Fiona wrote: "I started Spook Science Tackles the Afterlife by Mary Roach a couple of days ago (it's called Six Feet Over in the UK though) and just realised it's perfect for October ..."Stiff was OK. It's not what people think it is. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't give it 5 stars. Enjoy it!
OK. Just finished up on A Northern Light - Jennifer Donnelly now I am starting on Sarah's Key - Tatiana de Rosnay
Well, it is raining again so I am stuck at home this weekend. Hopefully I can finish a few books. I just finished Rebel Angels and now I'm off to start That Summer.
I am reading Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Has anyone read it? I'm only on page 43, but so far it's good. Really interesting storyline.
I ♥ Po, too! I finished City of Ashes earlier today (AMAZING) and am now almost 200 pages into City of Glass. I'm in love with this series! And I totally ♥ Jace. I ♥ everyone... what can I say? ;)
I read Unwind this summer, it's a nominee for our state student choice award. Definitely a powerful novel.
I started Sea Glass. I'm less than impressed so far, but her beginnings tend to be clunky to me. We'll see.
Sara ♥ wrote: "I ♥ Po, too! I finished City of Ashes earlier today (AMAZING) and am now almost 200 pages into City of Glass. I'm in love with this series! And I totally ♥ Jace. I..."hahaha, i loved those series!! hope u liked the ending of City of Glass...
Well, I'm not reading it, yet, but I plan to very soon. Neil Gaiman's Odd and the Frost Giants Has anyone read it yet?
Zainab wrote: "hahaha, i loved those series!! hope u liked the ending of City of Glass... "Yes, yes I did. :)

Oh and right now I'm reading Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston. It's not extraordinary so far.
Oh, it's a good one... I'm sure you'll enjoy it! :)Right now, I'm in the middle of 5 books (yeah, I know... why???), two of which are YAish... Inkspell, which I've been listening to while I do dishes and clean and cook and things (I'm on disc 11 of 16... so I'm getting there...) and The Freedom Writers Diary, which I started yesterday, and is REALLY fascinating so far! The movie was really great, and showed what the teacher and the kids experienced in the classroom and stuff, but this is their actual writing. It's REALLY touching... and a bit scary, of course!
I feel your pain! I'm waiting for several things to come out of cataloging so I can read them! And APPARENTLY I'm only allowed to have 15 books on reserve at a time! WHAT??
Oh I can't wait to read Graceling. It's coming up on my TBR pile. Right now I'm reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
