Sounds good... I love vampire series! :)
No YA at the moment for me, but part of my book features a 10 year old girl, but it's clearly adult fiction : Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay.
Jo wrote: "Its by Alex Duval. Its pretty good so far kind of like The OC with vampires "That should be the cover blurb!
I've been meaning to read Kiki Strike Inside the Shadow City and The Looking Glass Wars, but I've been distracted by The Hunger Games (just finished) and Graceling (just started). Oh, and a small mountain of graphic novels: I wanted to get some Captain America background (started with Winter Soldier volume 1; all 4 were surprisingly well written and beautifully drawn) before the movie comes out since he's so iconic, and someone told me that the Wachowski Bro.s stole some ideas from a book called The Invisibles; and there's a whole pile of other stuff besides.
April wrote: "No YA at the moment for me, but part of my book features a 10 year old girl, but it's clearly adult fiction : Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay."I loved that book. I just read it last week. I'd love to hear what you think about it.
I totally wanna read Vampire Beach...but anyways I'm going to start City of Bones (it's free online...here's the site if you wanna check it out http://books.livingsocial.com/mortal-...
I'm reading I, Coriander while I wait for Hunger Games to come in at the library. After I finish my homework online, I'm going to look for two more bks to read this week (I'm @ the library now!).

I just started reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm finally going to finish the series.
Yay Beth! I love the Harry Potter series!!
Linda Grace, I read the first two books a long time ago and now I'm just getting back to the series. So far I'm really loving the 3rd book. I'm going to keep reading them straight through!
:) Enjoy them! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is my favorite in the series, but the one you are reading is my sister's favorite.
Azkaban was my favorite until Order of the Phoenix. But they all run pretty close for me. Hope you like them (and love Sirius -- fave character!)
Well so far I'm loving Azkaban, and I'm only on page 69! I've decided that HP is going to be my night-time-curl-up-in-bed-with-a-cup-of-hot-tea reading!
Mmmmm, tea. :-)Beth, if you haven't read it yet, Anne of Green Gables is a good hot-tea-read. :-D
Currently, my boyfriend and I reading each other the Phantom Tollbooth before bed. We're reading three chapters a night. It's nice to read a book out loud with him and share something special with each other.
I've said this a billion times but...I am way overdue for an HP reread.April, that is a really neat thing to do. My hubby would rather stab himself in the eye repeatedly then read. :(
Oh, I only got him to start it last night because I cried LOL, I was like "you don't love me, we never do anything together, if we do this I promise I'll take my fat ass on a run with you."
April, awwww. My hubby and I have read a couple of books out loud and it was great. I think we need to start doing that again. I love your method of getting your boyfriend to do it, LOL! I remember reading the Phantom Tollbooth to my oldest son. I loved that book!

Ooh, loved that. My friend's struggled with the beginning (the first 120 pages), but ended up loving it.
We had to read Out of the Dust for class in 8th grade. Not gonna lie, it was pretty cool, we did a whole day of Dust Bowl related activities which included walking around in dirt-goggles, which were actually a glorified version of those beer-goggles they make you wear during alcohol awareness events.I'm about to finish Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn. After that, I'm going to finish a non-YA book, then start Rowan Hood Outlaw Girl of Sherwood Forest by Nancy Springer.
Fiona wrote: "What did you think of Nightingale Floor April? Will you be reading the rest of the series?"I like it a lot, just a bit miffed at the Tribe. I own the third book, so before I continue I need to obtain the second book. I'm thinking I'm going to start the second book next month. :-)

UGH!!!!! I saw it at the thrift store two weeks ago, but it was gone last week. I totally would have grabbed it for you.
bummer.
I'm reading Avalon High, Rebel Angels, Blue Moon, and The Summoning.Avalon High is good, Rebel Angels is really good.
The Summoning is just OK so far.
Blue Moon, however, is quite depressing. At this point. And it doesn't look like things are going to change.
Started The Book of Lost Things. Think I'm going to breeze through Love That Dog too, since it's so short.
I recently finished [Book: Lock and Key] by Sarah Dessen, which I really liked. I also finished Pretty Little Liars by Sarah Shepard. I thought it was ok, but not interested enough to continue with the series. I have Paper Towns and Uglies here to read from the library.
I started reading Marked this morning. I picked it up on an impulse along with it's sequel Betrayed. I've heard mixed reviews, so I'm trying not to be judgemental.
Misty wrote: "Started The Book of Lost Things. Think I'm going to breeze through Love That Dog too, since it's so short."Oh, Misty, Love That Dog is such a great little book, one of my favorites.
Sam wrote: "I started reading Marked this morning. I picked it up on an impulse along with it's sequel Betrayed. Alisha: Coraline is one of the creepiest young children's books I've ever read, and I love it for that.
Kathy: I know. I've read it twice before, once for a Children's Lit class, and once with my sister. I'm looking forward to reading it again.
Misty wrote: "Sam wrote: "I started reading Marked this morning. I picked it up on an impulse along with it's sequel Betrayed. When I read Twilight last year, I found it hard to get into, but found myself enjoying some parts of the book immensely. It's the same with Marked at the minute. I'll keep reading it though; I try never to give up on a book.
I just finished City of Ashes (5 stars!).Still working on Avalon High, Blue Moon, Rebel Angels, The Summoning.
Reading 5 books at the same time is difficult!
While I'm waiting on two challenge books to get here from the library (Book of a Thousand Days andSavvy), I have started reading one of the books I picked up at the library book sale. It's called Singer, and has less than 50 GR ratings. I picked it up for the beautiful cover, but I think I am going to like it.
