I am retired with 2 grown children and 7 grandchildren. I have just picked up reading again and do enjoy taking my time with a good book. I'm Katarina, highschool student from Croatia.
I've fallen in love with reading ten years ago and reading is one of my favourite hobbies since then.
I like to read various types of books, but during the last two years I prefer classics, especially gothic ones.
Some of my favourite books are Le Petit Prince, Poe's poems and short stories, Wuthering heights, The Phantom of the opera...
Also, a big fan of Tolkien. :)

Hi I'm Briana. I'm from Florida. I actually studied literature in college so I have a pretty good relationship with classics but there's so many that I'm always up for new novels. My favorite authors include JRR Tolkien, Leigh Bardugo, and Robin McKinley. I'm a big fan of Victorian literature and like reading multi-ethnic literature as I love reading about people from other countries and cultures.

Hi and welcome to Goodreads and to our classics group Paige! I also enjoyed 1984 by George Orwell and Dracula by Bram Stoker! You'll find many members here who have read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, probably more than once, myself included! It's an excellent book that I'm sure you'll enjoy! Welcome Paige! I'm an Austen fan and while Pride and Prejudice isn't my favourite book of hers, it's probably the easiest to read and get into. Definitely give it a try to see what you think yourself :)

You can also see the upcoming reads for September.

We will start voting in a couple of days for October reads - there will be a message sent out with all the links you will need once the polls are open.
There are no rules about which reads you join in with so just relax, have a read of the message boards and join in wherever you choose. :)
