Katie wrote: "how far are you into it? are you enjoying it? :) "only p 39 but I have enjoyed all of these so far. Ward has created an interesting world to set these novels in.
3/4 through The Twelve by Justin Cronin don't think it's quite as good as the Passage, but I'm enjoying it very much.

I notice The Tower Mill
on the groups currently reading. I won this on First Reads a while ago. I really enjoyed it - even more so because I was familiar with Brisbane and the politics of the era in the book. It's a good read.

Hi everyone!Back again for the umpteenth time. But this time I am here to stay. Uni is over (YAY!) and now I am anxiously waiting my results. Crossing my fingers hard as I want to graduate with flying colors and hopefully have grades good enough to get me straight into the PhD program.
I haven't done much reading, but have finished one book (in 3 months! gasp), which is Chrissie Wellington's bio A Life Without Limits: A World Champion's Journey - she is a living triathlon legend, one of the best endurance athletes (male or female) of all time. Fourth time world Ironman champ, world record holder, won all Ironman she took part in (all 13!), big smile and just a wonderful personality. Yep, maybe you can tell now, she is one of my idols. I loved the memoir, too, it cements my love and admiration for this woman. Five stars.

Hi Dhitri...welcome back!!! Great that you'll be able to 'stick around' now that Uni is over. I'm sure you did really well..you get your results mid-December don't you? Good luck and please let us know:)

Deanna Raybourne The Dark Enquiry I always enjoy her books and this is no exception. A similar writer to her who I usually enjoy is Tasha Alexander, but I found her latest a bit hard to get into.

I'm reading Unlikely Friendships: 47 Remarkable Stories from the Animal Kingdom at present.Charming photos and amazing stories....
Ive read that too Margaret, aren't some of the stories & pics lovely. A definite must for animal lovers :)
Mish wrote: "I'm currently reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier - Awesome! Hard to put down :)"I LOVE that book, Mish. I've read a few Daphne du Maurier books, but nothing beats Rebecca. You'll have to get the old B&W film out after you've read the book and watch it! Cheers, Helen
Zoey wrote: "Ive read that too Margaret, aren't some of the stories & pics lovely. A definite must for animal lovers :)"Incredibly touching! I'm only about a quarter of the way through it, and already I've seen the most unlikely bonds between species. :)
I just finished listening to Michael Robotham's Shatter. A disturbing, psychological thriller. The narrator was really good and I even had to bring the final two CDs in out of the car so that I could listen to the end ( I usually only listen in the car). If you are into murder mysteries, thrillers then you would love this one. And he is an Australian author.
I just finished reading The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng, one of the contenders for Booker Prize, which was eventually won by HIlary Mantel. Amazing read - here is my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I'm loving it too Helen. I didn't expect it to be quite intense. I can see myself reading more of her books in the future....and Yes I'll definitely be watching the movie :)

Some bits I'm really enjoying. But sometimes I can't concentrate on what I'm reading and therefore I have to re-read same sentence. Hehehe.
