I agree Julie. The insinuation is she 'dumbed' it down for Aussies. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the book and I actually think Apothecary would have worked better as it explained what Christmas's shop/cafe was about.

Even if I didn't know what it meant I am bright enough to look the word up!

I am currently reading a cozy mystery Murder in the Mystery Suite by Ellery Adams and a Christian Historical Romance Ruby by Lauraine Snelling.

I also have My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises by Fredrik Backman ready to go as soon as I finish the mystery.

Lol, I thought of you Marianne when finished Dear Ruth the other night and started on The Night Guest who's main character is also called Ruth! And I only read DR because the battery ran out on my ipad and I couldn't read TNG for a few hours, so chose that short story on my kindle :)
