I've read the first one. It was really good, but two of my coworkers LOVE them. The joys of working at a bookstore lol.

James Marsters is so good as the audio narrator that I find when I read the books (rather than listen) I still hear his voice ;)
In all honesty, I read all the Dresden Files and can say that I wasn't a huge fan. For me, Dresden was one of those whiny, why-aren't-things-easy-for-me kind of guys. I couldn't get over it. I kept giving him a chance with each book, but after all is said and done, I wasn't into it. I did like Fool Moon though, that one did stick with me.

I'm dying waiting for Peace Talks especially since some of the collection of short stories weren't new!

I'm one of the rare people, like Nicole, that didn't love this series. I gave up on it after a few books. I got too frustrated with Dresden's need to protect women and the 'everything is my fault' attitude. It's too bad because otherwise the stories were interesting. He just annoyed me.

I also listened to the series and now James Marsters is Dresden's voice forever. However, he started out making way too many mouth sounds. It was so distracting! I don't want to hear some juicy smacking while you're talking! Fortunately, he seemed to improve as the series progressed.
