TRUOk, I'm not a huge fan of the movies, especially the second, but you have no idea how happy I was to hear "Light em up" in the beginning of the Sea of Monsters. Seriously though, they could've done a lot better... though I was going to flip a table if they didn't include Grover in a dress. That was essential.

So... I told my friend today that Percabeth isn't pronounced with a hard c, like the word perk. It was quite sad she didn't know that.

I just searched up the book on common sense media. Seems coolViolence
Lots, and quite grim and gruesome, including a man who has part of his face torn off, a man who beats and stabs a boy, a dog killed by breaking its back, children killing, and a girl shot in the belly. There are many injuries with realistic consequences, and many deaths. One especially gruesome climactic fight involves breaking of bones, snapping of gristle, crushing of eyeballs, and lots of blood.
Wow that does sound violent! O-oI recommend reading Throne of Glass if you haven't already. It's a brilliant hardcore fantasy series which I love.
It's not on Common Sense Media but it's on "PluggedIn" which is similar to CSM.

Fun Fact: My friend and I both read Sara J Maas. Her favorite series is Throne of Glass. Mine is her other series (Court of Thorns and Roses)
