Darkness has its place

Mae Hall And it's in my soul.
Sorry, I love that sort of stuff and antiheroes and whatnot.

message 19355: by [deleted user] (new)

*laughs*

Magnus Who is to say that the "villians" in a story are not the true heroes?

Arya Dröttningu the author

Elise wrote: "the author"

true

message 19359: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall Unless if the author changes their mind. Or the fandom believes hard enough. Of course, I'm also thinking of A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES (caps b/c I can't italicize on this thing. I'm still a bit new...)

Arya Dröttningu Well were glad to have you here mae

Arya Dröttningu and yes anything can happen if the fandom just believes hard enough

Arya Dröttningu Also just a quick question, what do you guys think of the Apollo series? I have read the first 2 but I cant decide how I feel about them

message 19363: by [deleted user] (new)

I read the first one, and I for one like where Rick is going with the series.

DanielC_C1 I haven't read the apollo series yet.

certainly not because I'm poor

Arya Dröttningu I liked the first one but the 2nd one could have been a lot better I thnk

Arya Dröttningu please no one kill me

Arya Dröttningu Not trying to start an arguement

message 19368: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall I haven't read them yet, so I can't say. The original Percy Jackson books will always be my favorite, however much I love Leo. Then again I LOVED House of Hades.

Arya Dröttningu House of Hades was great, IDK WHY IT GETS SO MUCH HATE!! It really makes me mad. Leo is amazing. But yes, I agree with Mae, the PJO series was great.

#BringBackLeo

Arya Dröttningu honest thoughts on Caleo?

Arya Dröttningu I don't particularly like it

message 19373: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall Eh, good enough. I mean, if it makes Leo happy, then sure.

Totally unrelated, but I just finished The Darkest Mind series and I'm dead. And binge listening to "Wouldn't it be Nice." I have no life.

Its always that way with series, everyone is enthralled by the preliminary book and then compares the sequels to the others, if you just think that its an actual continuation similar to how you go to sleep and then wake up, as if its a new day, then the books as a whole a very good.

Leo does come back in Trials of Apollo, trying not to spoil much, but Apollo is involved in how Leo comes back

They get better. Don't worry.

That's true I guess but it's still sometimes disappointing

Arya Dröttningu Raudhatul wrote: "I just finished The Sea of Monster and I miss the first book already :("

Oh my gosh they get SOOOO much better keep pushing through

message 19381: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall TRUE.
I mean, the first is awesome, but they're all soooo amazing. I even really liked the Heroes of Olympus series a lot too. I'm not so wow about the Kane Chronicles, though. Seems kind of like a rip off. (But please don't "rip off" my head for saying that) (horrible puns, I know).

message 19382: by [deleted user] (new)

I felt the same way about the Kane Chronicles. They also felt somewhat boring to me... I'll try reading them again though.

Arya Dröttningu I really liked the Kane Chronicles. I am abnormal though because I discovered the Chronicles before I knew Percy existed

message 19384: by Magnus (new) - rated it 3 stars

Magnus First time I read the Kane Chronicles, I thought they were good. Rereading them like a month or a year later, my thoughts had changed, it wasn't as good as a first time read through.

Abnormal

So. Guess who was is so tired (and has been all day long) that they wrote 'their name' down on their algebra worksheet as Africa.

And then almost fell alseep in class even though they were blasting loud, obnoxious rap through their headphones.

message 19387: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall omg yes.
I mean, I'm the kind of person who would put the milk in the pantry and the bowl in the fridge.
I can't fall asleep in class though. I'm cursed.

message 19388: by [deleted user] (new)

I was zoning out the other day, and according to my sister, I put the gallon of milk in the pantry

Arya Dröttningu Abnormal"

I know

Arya Dröttningu and I do that all the time. Usually i throw my spoons away though, which is a HUGE problem because we need those spoons.

Arya Dröttningu sooooo broke up with my boyfriend this week which was fun so yeah I'm having a pretty bad day

I'm sorry bout that

Arya Dröttningu eh well it was gonna happen eventually

message 19395: by Mae (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mae Hall On the bright side you're now open to find your soul mate.
That sounded horrible, I'm sorry.
Maybe just curl up with some chocolate and a book--that could make anyone feel better. (I would say ice cream, but that's too cliche).

Arya Dröttningu That all sounds great Mae. And yeah I guess my soul mate is out there somewhere

Arya Dröttningu gimme a month and i'll get back to you

DanielC_C1 Congrats you won for 3 days

message 19399: by [deleted user] (new)
