Ok...I could seriously use some help. Now, I'm not trying to draw attention to myself or make you all flip out or anything...I just don't know what to do. But here goes:
So I seem to have a...habit?...of starving myself...not good, I know. I literally just got done eating a small bag of chips and it's all I've had all day! It's 3:30 pm. I'm not purposely trying to starve myself...I just don't think about food until I get so weak that I'm shaking and dizzy and even have a headache...I've been trying to get better...but it seems to not be working. Could I be anorexic and not know it?? Or do I have some sort of eating disorder? Ugh. I don't know what to do...I think I'll have to start posting on groups to try and get some help.

Abby I may not be the best person to help because mine wasn't exactly the same but I kind of get what you're going through. I've had depression for about 7 years and went anorexic very close to the same time my depression started.
Anyway, thought I was getting better and then I payed attention to how much I ate and it was a little more then what you've said you've eaten today. I've been able to battle it only because my mom found out and told my dad and, well, some religious stuff you probably don't really want to hear. Anyway, the best way, in my opinion, is to tell someone close to you in your life that you trust.
Sorry, like I said, I'm probably not the best person to offer advice but I felt like I should.

message 18063: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks. Any advice is helpful. Food literally slips my mind until it affects my blood sugar. And being in college...I really don't think it'd be wise to tell family but maybe I can talk to a friend about it...

message 18064: by Abby (new) - rated it 4 stars

Abby A friend would be good. And you're welcome.

message 18065: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll figure out someone...

Magnus I always willing to help anyone

Thanks :)

message 18068: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm probably not the best person to give advice on this, but I can kind of relate to what you are saying. A year back I wouldn't eat anything all day. My only meal was either breakfast or dinner. Now I got out of that habit, but I won't eat lunch. I agree with what Abby said. Telling someone close to you will help.

message 18069: by [deleted user] (new)

I've been through that too. I didn't have lunch or breakfast for the whole first half of my junior year (long story)

message 18070: by K.S. (new) - rated it 5 stars

K.S. Abhishek I am really sorry that I can't physically be there to help you but if you would consider my advice you should tell your mom rather than a friend 'cuz moms always know what to do when nobody knows anything......

Magnus Abhishek wrote: "I am really sorry that I can't physically be there to help you but if you would consider my advice you should tell your mom rather than a friend 'cuz moms always know what to do when nobody knows a..."

that's kind of problem for her, but I wont say what the problem is.

message 18072: by [deleted user] (new)

I would but...my family...I've actually told my grandma and my aunt (they're the ones that raised me)...

message 18073: by K.S. (new) - rated it 5 stars

K.S. Abhishek Hey sorry.....I think I said something that I shouldn't have.......

message 18074: by [deleted user] (new)

Abhishek wrote: "Hey sorry.....I think I said something that I shouldn't have......."

Nah. You're fine. Long story short, I'm 19, almost 20 and my mother's been there for about 5 or 6 years. I didn't hear from my father until I was 16.

message 18075: by [deleted user] (new)

And when I told my grandma and aunt...they said me eating less was a good thing...I was just like...No. That is not a good thing! I was honestly thinking wtf!

message 18076: by K.S. (new) - rated it 5 stars

K.S. Abhishek well, just remember we are here for you....
