I finished my book Last Sacrifice, richelle mead...06.18 4*s...for the Book Boyfriends shelf....Im sad to see the story of Rose, Lissa & Demetri come to an end but it has been a good story none the less & I look forward to reading another of RMs series soon.

That's too bad. It's being made into a TV series for 2014 in Canada for the Space Network.

Nope you aren't the only one Jenni, in my review I stated the story really didn't start till page 109 and I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. As I had paid $13 odd $ for it I wasn't happy. Lately I've picked up #2 & #3 for $3 each, but I'm not rushing to read them.

Finished Strong Heroines book 6/19/13Blaze of Memory - 3 stars
Hmmm...I love Nalini Singh's books but this one was not one of my favorites. Perhaps it was the long break I took between books, or maybe I just didn't like the hero/heroine combination, I'm really not sure. This book just didn't wow me like some of the other books in this series. No worries, I'll most likely continue reading these because they have been quite addictive up to this point.

Review: Short and simple!
First of all, let me say, I love Shifters. With their warmer body temperatures, need for touch, rumbling growls, potent sexuality and dominant nature, they are my favorite paranormal beings. So of course I enjoyed this book and plan to read the rest of the series. I think the only reason I haven’t read it before now is the cover.

are better IMO.I really like the world the author has created. The mix of paranormal and science fiction spoke to my inner nerd. The Psy network was fascinating and I look forward to learning more about it. The villain was pretty predictable, but it was still a good pnr.
I always try to find a quote that I like out of the books I read. Here are two.

I finished Insurgent, veronica roth...06.20.2013 4*s....wow - this definitely took a bad turn about 1/2 thru the book meaning there were some things that happened totally took me by surprise that I wasnt sure what to expect...& the ending wow definitely have to the next book because that was probably the best cliffhanger that I have read in awhile....

I am so glad I have finally finished this book. I had to make myself push through to the very end. There was so much inner dialogue in this book. It completely drove me batty. I found myself skipping over paragraphs in hopes of finding a conversation between...anyone. The story lacked personality. That's the best way I can explain it. I was always left with a blah feeling when I read it. As if it isn't already obvious, I will not be reading any other books in the series and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Oh, and the Pack in this book really need to grow a pair. Ok, I'm done. :)

I hate it when I have to make myself finish a book especially when I want to throw it against a wall. Lol. Hope your next book is much better
Too bad it didn't work for you. It's one of my favorite UF series - especially the Clay and Elena stories. (didn't care much for the other ones).

A lot of people couldn't understand why Elena was so bitchy in that book. The author had a bunch of free stories and a graphic novel short on her website (not sure if they are still there) that acted as sort of a prequel to Bitten. I read the books out of order, so perhaps that helped me like it more.
Elena was definitely a Debbie Downer.

I understand being mad at Clay, but I don't understand being mad at Jeremy. She mentions that she has forgiven everyone (minus Clay), but still acts like she hasn't...especially towards Jeremy. Hasn't it been around ten years since it happened?

I'm due for a re-read but it won't happen with the amount of books I need to read this summer.

Thanks! I've been wanting to read it for a while now. This is the perfect motivation for getting to those that I always seem to push back for some reason or another :)
The second book is even better. The first one has a section that I found slow, but the second book - just awesome.

6/24/13 - Finished my Cover Love book
- 5 starsActually 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. A wonderful story about a group of refugees from Earth traveling in space for 500 years to their promised planet, Zahava. The world is intriguing because it really does not feel like a spaceship. Inhabitants have pets, farm, shop at stores, work at various jobs. I loved the author's use of Jewish culture and customs in the story. It made it even more fascinating for me. The book would have probably benefited from a glossary of terms however the author has that on her website. Well done! Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

This is going to be short and sweet. I liked this book. Wasn't cheesy at all. Pretty good plot and wasn't your typical romance read. I would love to hear more about Lucas and Jacqueline. So, a second book would be great. Thanks AH for a good review that encouraged me to read it.

I wait so long in between books that I forget how much I like this series - no, love this series! This one was fantastic, with a strong female fighting to keep her independence and protect her vulnerability from the equally strong, younger male determined to win her heart. I think my favorite scene was when the courtship dance suddenly switched to a mating dance, and then when Indigo finally realized how much she loved Drew - whew! These books suck me in to the world so strongly I feel like I live there :)
