Betsy | 11632 comments Neither is right. The answer is Winfield Scott Hancock, who ran for president in 1880, but lost to James Garfield.

(Meade didn't run for president, and Grant wasn't at Gettysburg.)

But we might use Richard's question about what is James Joyce's novel, which is a parallel to Homer's poem, Odyssey?
