I just finished Dune and it's so amazing! I'm definitely reading the other parts too, but firstly I'm going to start Shadow and Bone series I have been delaying for so long.

Dune is one of my very favorite books ever. Personally, I read all the rest of the series, but the next two really are the rest of that arc, and those written after just didn't live up to the beginning for me. Especially when his son, Brian Herbert, takes over.

Yeah, it became one of my favorites too! It's one of those books that becomes more and more interesting as you read. Didn't Frank Herbert write all the six books in the franchise? Or the first three are the "original" trilogy and the rest are additional books?

Herbert did write the first six, but in my opinion it's the first three that tell one arc and the next three just take place in that world he so beautifully built.

I’m almost finished with The Throat. It’s the 3rd book in the Blue Rose Trilogy by Peter Straub…. I’m not really sure if I enjoyed this story or not. It was very confusing. Maybe other readers could give me their opinions ?
