What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
Wizard and Glass. Roughly 70% into it now. This, quite possibly, could be the best thing I've ever read!
I finished Wizard and Glass. It was amazing! After reading all that and The Tommyknockers before it, I definitely need a (short) break from King. It almost feels like I need to catch my breath.
Gavin wrote: "Reading The Rainmaker"I really enjoyed his older books. The Runaway Jury is one of his best besides the two obvious, The Firm and A Time to Kill.
Still finishing Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz and The Everything Box by Richard Kadrey and after that: If It Bleeds here I come!
I'm really liking the way Elmore Leonard writes. I've never read anything of his before. Looks like I've been missing out....

Yes I'm really enjoying his almost minimalist style of writing. Prime example of less is more.
Mig (readwithmig) wrote: "I’m reading East of Eden"There is not a single book of Steinbeck's that I would not be willing to read right now. I love every word he wrote. E of E was rough. It was almost physically painful to read it parts.
I finished the trilogy "Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn", by Tad Williams, a wonderful series. Today I started Blood of Elves.
I finished The Switch. I thought it was really good. Can't believe I waited so long to read Elmore Leonard. Next I'll read Rum Punch. That book is the whole reason I wanted to read Elmore Leonard in the first place. Then I discovered it was part of a series so of course I had to read the first one first.
I'm almost finished with Charlaine Harris' A Longer Fall. Her books are pure escape for me. You aren't going to be enlightened or learn anything, but by golly you will be entertained!
I finished Rum Punch. For those of you who haven't yet read anything by Elmore Leonard, I highly recommend you do. Now I have to figure out what to read next.
Today I finished The Tomb. A thrilling adventure, a mystery in the beginning, but soon turned into an horror in a familiar environment: Manhattan and its surroundings.
Song for the Unraveling of the World by Brian Evenson. I cant recommend this book enough. Brilliant and terrifying stories.
I've finished Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk. I always feel like I need therapy after I read something by him. Now the age old question: what do I read next?

I'm about 40% through it and I'm enjoying it."
I like all of Nicholas Pileggi's books. Wise Guys, which was the basis for Good Fellas.
