I'm about 40% through it and I'm enjoying it."

I like all of Nicholas Pileggi's books. Wise Guys, which was the basis for Good Fellas.

Derrick | 974 comments I finished Wizard and Glass. It was amazing! After reading all that and The Tommyknockers before it, I definitely need a (short) break from King. It almost feels like I need to catch my breath.

I really enjoyed his older books. The Runaway Jury is one of his best besides the two obvious, The Firm and A Time to Kill.

I also love his style, even when the actual plot isn't great, the writing is enough.

Yes I'm really enjoying his almost minimalist style of writing. Prime example of less is more.

There is not a single book of Steinbeck's that I would not be willing to read right now. I love every word he wrote. E of E was rough. It was almost physically painful to read it parts.

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 335 comments I finished the trilogy "Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn", by Tad Williams, a wonderful series. Today I started Blood of Elves.

message 7779: by Derrick (new)

Derrick | 974 comments I finished The Switch. I thought it was really good. Can't believe I waited so long to read Elmore Leonard. Next I'll read Rum Punch. That book is the whole reason I wanted to read Elmore Leonard in the first place. Then I discovered it was part of a series so of course I had to read the first one first.
