Done with killing floor. I found it to be almost unreadable. Far too many periods when commas would have sufficed. Constant short sentences really break the immersion for me, so I'm going with my back up choice...Cold Fire by Dean Koontz.

Reading
and I am enjoying the economic style despite the longish descriptive passages. The characters leap off the pages in this book. I love when that happens. It took about 160 pages for me to decide I wanted to go forward with this read, but it has really taken off since.
k.l i only managed 2 jack reacher books and i will not be reading another while there are so many good books out there

I still went on to read the second book in the series against my better judgement & it was filled with even more crap. I feel Jack Reacher books are probably the most over-rated series I have ever read.

Magician is great! I am on the 4th right now (A Darkness at Sethanon). I read the first 4 years ago, but now that Feist is done with all 30 books in the series, I started over and I am going to read them all!
Got finsh reading both Killing Floor & Black House i loved both. I am a big fan of Stephen King so i knew i would love it. And this is the first book i read by Lee Child but i loved it going have to read his other books. Now i am starting on Did You Miss Me? by Karen Rose i am really loving it so far i am on page 200 right now. I have read almost every book of this series and so far love them all.
When i get done reading that book here the next books i going read

Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult
Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain
Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
Just finished "One day in a life of Ivan Denisovich" by Alexandr Solzhenitsyn and started "Doctor Sleep" :)
The Passage by Justin Cronin. Halfway through and I understand why King thinks so highly of this book. There is a thematic similarity to The Stand, but this one should resonate with readers on its own merits.
Making History - Brian FrielModern Drama: Plays of the 80s and 90s.
IF ANY OF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO READ EITHER THE PLAY tOp GiRlS or HyStErIa I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
Reading Love in the Time of Cholera, Because We Can (a thriller by John P. Locke), and listening to the audio-books of 50 Shades.

I've only read El Coronel no Tiene Quien le Escribe by Marquez but I've been meaning for absolute years to read Love in the Time of Cholera because of the movie Serendipity.
Just Finished The Library Policeman the third story in Four Past Midnight & I believe it is the best King novella I have read so far.
I just finished the latest Alex Cross titled Cross My Heart by James Patterson. It was very good, getting back to the way the series used to be long ago. Now I'm reading King and Maxwell by David Baldacci. Loved the last one.
I'm reading We Need To Talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver. I hope it gets better, I'm already having a difficult time getting through it.
Linda wrote: "I'm reading We Need To Talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver. I hope it gets better, I'm already having a difficult time getting through it."Stick with it. I found the first half to be dry and hard to get through but finished the second half of the book within days.
Finished Four Past Midnight
another great collection of King novellas with The Library Policeman being the best in the bunch.
Just recently finished Stage Whispers: The Collected Timmy Quinn Stories
. It was really good, I immediately went to Amazon to get the finale.
I felt the same way about The Passage....I'm almost through Wizard and Glass and then I plan to deviate from the Dark Tower a little....
I'm reading the Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly it's pretty good so far. I just finished 13 reasons why. That is an awesome book to read. It's about a teenagers story of why and who played a part in her suicide. It's like you're with her talking to her as you read it.

The PassageIt feels like this book will never end!"
Most disappointing thing I've read in a long time. The middle drags on for ever!
Scott wrote: "I finished Hard Magic and started Something Wicked This Way Comes."Okay, Scott, check out my blog about my friendship with Ray Bradbury. Just click on me.
Walden by HDT and Self-Reliance by RWE. I do need a break from Gunslingers and demons every now and then haha
Just opened I Am Legend
Stephen king said "I think the author who influenced me the most as a writer was Richard Matheson, books like I am legend were an inspiration to me"
