I havent watched the show yet. Im worried it will be terrible since its on Lifetime. I hope you enjoy You.
Rhian wrote: "I loved you and hidden bodies, What a great twisted character"So true. Im surprised I like Hidden Bodies almost as much as You.

I thought both books were great also. I've just read Caroline Kepnes's third (?) book, Providence, and while I liked that one as well, I didn't find it quite as compelling as either You or Hidden Bodies. It's a fascinating literary exercise she's undertaken with that third book, though; kind of a unique take on H.P. Lovecraft's story "The Dunwich Horror" ... in the form of a kind of bizarre love story. (!)
I realize this is an "apples and oranges" kind of question but are there any contemporary vampire books that are "better" than George RR Martin's "Fevre Dream" ? Admittedly my exposure to contemporary vampire literature is woefully lacking but I wonder about this. Even after my first exposure to this novel over thirty years ago GRRM's effort in this genre still remains, for me a very high watermark. As much as I love "Game of Thrones" , Mr. Martin's shorter, more compact efforts is something to be enjoyed as well.

I think the show is good but I also haven't read You yet so I can't really compare the two.

Just finished Daisy in Chains. Amazing story. Five Stars. Really great. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished The Last Child by John Hart, new author for me I really enjoyed it, the friendship between the 2 boys of the story reminded me of how S.K writes a good friendship, I've got to try another by the author, now onto He said She said by Erin Kelly and it looks promising so far
Nick wrote: "Just started Roadwork. It's my second read but it's been a long time."Loved Roadwork. Nothing like payback.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

As for me, I'm working through Ghost Story and just started Roadwork. Along with a plethora of others I should probably focus on instead of starting new ones.

There are a lot of interesting ways to bring on the post-apocalypse, from a writer's point of view, and the cause determines the state of the world. (view spoiler)

Think about what was going on when the book was written.
