What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
I never read more than one book at a time, reading multiple books tend to be jarring when you predominantly read books from the same genre. On a more extreme note I refuse to watch more than one TV show at a time. I binge shows after it has wrapped up all their seasons so it is a habit that I picked up along the way. While on the debate between e-readers and physical books, I am firmly on e-reader's side. They are more convenient to carry and it is only because of them I had managed to read so many diverse authors. If I had waited on physical copies I will still think Dan Brown or Harry Potter is the pinnacle of genre fiction, they are all that is released in my country. The utility of ebooks to readers like me who simply don't have any means to read a paperback or hardcover can't be overstated.
Two main reasons why I read mainly e-books now. First, I'm running out of space in my bookshelves.Second, it's cheaper and faster! If I buy imported books from local bookstores, it's usually more expensive. If I order from online stores like The Book Depository, which has free shipping, the books arrive a month later. Instant delivery vs. a month delivery: it's no contest.
I finished Killman Creek and started Black eyed Susan's. I love my tablet. I can download my books and have them instantly and I can carry my library where ever I go.

I found reading a book between every other one this helped me keep interest with the series I'm reading especially when it is a very large series.
For those who rely on the e-reader to keep them current at a reasonable cost I can understand and I am happy for them. I would never say anything against them or anyone for that matter, well except my son LOL. I am a traditionalist I love the physical feel of a book in my hands the smell of a book be it new or old is all part of the charm of reading for me. Yes I can understand the advantage to e-readers when you have limited storage or access to the book you want to read.

I've enjoyed it so far, just worried with its size it might drag on a bit. Reading something else in between is a good idea though to help break apart any possible monotony.
Just finished All the Birds In the Sky. My four-star review is posted at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... If you want to see what a more positive version of Herald from the Stand might be like, consider Laurence in this book.
I’m currently reading King’s Cujo for the first time and having a blast/ mental breakdown at how good and utterly horrifying it is at the same time!
Wait, Cujo is a real story, swear down I know them, or was that Salem's Lot or maybe Misery Darn no I forgot which one was true... No wait it is Christine

I'm loving it so far.
The Unkillable Kitty O’Kane: A Novel, by Colin Falconer
Oh well Mr Brooks... he is not everyone’s cup of Joe, but I do enjoy the change in style he brings to the table..
I will also start with Origins soon Kenneth. Mrbooks Brown is a very limited writer albeit pretty entertaining. As far as action thrillers go, you could do far worse than Brown with say Lee Child or James Rollins. Never read Clancy though watched most of the Jack Ryan films, most of them were fine for what they were.
Finished A Stained White Radiance by James Lee Burke. Another nice addition to Robicheaux series that only falls just short when compared to the earlier books in the series. The writing is the real strength of the series so it never falls below a certain standard. Rating - 4/5.My brief review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I will say that Dan Brown has captivated my interest in Origin and if you ever wondered or even questioned humanities creation and destiny then this book may be an interesting read for you.... the suspense is beginning to build....
Am reading Ray Bradbury’s The October Country , my first of his after a couple of abandoned attempts at Something Wicked This Way comes
Reading some mysteries and a little fantasy, with
,
and
. They all cover some of my ATW challenge, as well. :)I have
, and have yet to start reading it. Needless to say, I have owned it since the book came out. Ugh!!
Save me twice true story about two brothers having to fight under Hitler sad how they were forced to fight at the young ages of 14 and 16 being on the front lines seeing your friends shot the horrors
I haven’t gotten around to Sleeping Beauties yet, but it’s on my list. How are you liking it so far, Erin?
Finished 99 Red Balloons by Elizabeth Carpenter 4☆ now I've started The Door to December by Dean Koontz
I'm reading Fevre Dream by George RR Martin. Another vampire book not long after 'salem's Lot, but the two are quite different from each other. Fevre Dream reminds me more of Interview with the Vampire.
Summer wrote: "I haven’t gotten around to Sleeping Beauties yet, but it’s on my list. How are you liking it so far, Erin?"It's starting to pick up the pace. It started off a bit slow for me. I am wishing I was further a long in it then I am, I haven't been able to read as much of it per day as I would like.

Yeah I've heard it's pretty epic. Not sure how I feel yet taking on something so large, but so far it's good.
