I have 20 books out there and some are edgier than others. You can see the edgiest ones typically have at least one 1 or 2 star rating but they have so many more 4 and 5 that it doesn't really matter. I did notice something funny though. The Christian Reader's that are sensitive freak out and say they don't see how it can be a Christian book because to them it men's mild and fluffy. The secular Reader's will sight it was a good book even if it was a Christian book. They see the content as mild and not edgy at all. It's crazy. Anyway I am under Amazon under Michelle Sutton if you care to read any of the reviews. It can be quite entertaining. There is one book on autism that I did not write. A new author sprung up and is using the same author name but we are not the same person.

Tessa Palmeri aka Tonya Preece | 2 comments Michelle,
Thanks for your post! When I first started getting reviews, more often than not, people were making comments about disliking the Christian/faith aspect. I realized it wasn't in my book description at all and I hadn't tagged it as CF, so I've now added a note to readers in the description about it being in there, but dang it, now the people who are looking for squeaky clean might not read it. Incidentally, of the non-Christian readers, I've had comments about the romance being unrealistic (I guess that's because my MCs aren't necessarily jumping into bed together). It's a Catch22! I'll check out your books and reviews.

Yes it is s catch 22. I even labeled my paperbacks with "for mature readers" and non- Christians will have their 13 year olds read them saying they were clean and yet adult Christians sometimes say they wouldn't let their child read it (one got pregnant at 15 so reading my book may have helped her, but whatever.) I have stuff that is implied but anyone who is married would get it. I allude to situations and actions that some sensitive people describe it as explicit but I just say they have dirty minds LOL. They filled in the blanks, not me. What makes the book Christian is not the G rating as many clean books have no real faith element. I just have characters who aren't perfect. They always have consequences for their choices. That is the difference. Secular books don't show the emotional and spiritual impact of sinful behavior. Christian books do. I like to put a different twist on each series. You will see what I mean if you read any.

Jo O'Mara (jopiazzaomara) | 1 comments Hi Gang,
I'm a fairly new author of Christian fiction. My first novel, Garden of Hope, was released in the fall of 2014. I'm currently working on its sequel. I've set it in my hometown, Lawrence, Massachusetts and towns in the Boston area. It's been a wonderful adventure. While I've had numerous book signings and speaking events, I can agree with one writer that it is difficult to find our audience, but we are a persistent lot. Ciao! Garden of Hope

Grace Tenkay (gracie28) Glad to see this group. I live in Cary, NC and love Christian fiction. Probably my favorite 'edgy Christian fiction'
book lately is When Saigon Surrendered: A Kentucky Mystery
Really enjoyed the main character's fall from grace, & his effort to redeem himself. It had a great twist to the mystery at the end.
This was my review:

Jack Fernard Hello fellow reader/authors!

I knew that I had found the right place when I read of the 'Catch 22 dilemma'

I've written an urban fantasy novel titled A Righteous Fury and ignorantly included the word 'd@mn' ... which apparently has me banned from Christian bookstores for life. Just call me the non-conformist : ) But by what I can see from this group, I'm not the only one.

I look forward to lurking/posting with this group.

Jack Fernard Theresa,

Congratulations on picking up a publisher! (A dozen indie authors are now secretly loathing you - LOL) But seriously, awesome job.

Do you have a link for this book?

To put a link in, go to the web page of your book and copy the web address. (top of the page-- url) If you can paste it here with http:// at the beginning it should work.

Try it in preview first and you'll know whether it works or not.

Send me an email if it doesn't work and I'll code it so that you can copy paste it : )
