Solved: several YA titles [s]

Glad I found this group! While I was an editor, I reviewed many YA titles to be considered for translation by our publisher. Now I can't remember the titles of most of them! I hope you can help.

1. A fantasy by a young author, about two races at war with each other, bird-humans and snake-humans.

2. About a teen boy whose sculptor mother uses sign language, so he has to act as her interpreter all his life.

3. About a girl who suffers from synesthesia and learn to cope with it.

4. A historical novel about a Chinese boy who immigrates to the US in the 19th century, and then works at a stone quarry.
