I just started Sudden Prey by John Sandford last night, and I'm listening to The Lion's Game by Nelson Demille on Audible
I've enjoyed Game of Thrones on HBO, but now I'm going through withdrawls and am considering reading the series, Song of Ice and Fire. Any advice there? Does the TV show follow the books?

I'm currently reading Stephen King's "11/22/63," concerning time travel and the Kennedy assassination.

I agree with you. I have never read a bad Sandford book. He's one of my favorite authors.

I just downloaded Elizabeth George's Believing The Lie (#17). As an avid fan of the Lynley series, I can't wait! I try not to read her books as soon as they come out so that I don't have to wait a full year for the next one! Luckily #18 is already out so... yippee!
I finished the third in what was to be a trilogy by Jeffrey Archer, "Best Kept Secret" (The Clifton Chronicles"). It was a cliff-hanger (pun intended). Apparently the series has done so well it's no longer a trilogy.

I guess Sandi liked Best Kept Secret!! LOL.I too am following that series and waiting for the last one, so didn't read that one yet. however, I really liked the first two books. I love everything Jeffrey Archer writes and have read them all.

System stopped, I'm surprised it ever got there!

I started noticing this problem a couple of days ago (at least when I'm on my tablet). It all seems to post but it shows that it is still processing. It seems to post all right when I'm on my phone.

Yes, I'm just leaving the page, eventually it gets posted!
Just finished The Kill Room by Jeffery Deaver. Really good! My first book by that author. I'll be back for more:) Just started Stoker's Manuscript by Royce Prouty. Very gothic feel to it. Liking it so far.
I just finished I, Michael Bennett by James Patterson. I found that it was an entertaining book. I just started The Marching Season by Daniel Silva.
I gave up on The Mirror of the Soul - J. Lloyd Morgan and I've read and finished Lily and the Billionaire: Vol. 1 - Ana Vela. Now I am going back to Edge of Disaster - A.M. Hargrove.

The Lincoln Rhyme series is one of my favorites. You should certainly read the rest, you will love them. I'm currently reading The Kill Room, also.

Really haven't been reading lately lost my dad on the 22nd but hopefully I will start reading again soon.
Virtual hugs and sympathy. How hard that is for you.I am now reading The Asylum, not quite sure what is going on yet, but I am enjoying it. Every so often I find I just need a ghost story.
I finished book 5 of Karin Slaughter's Grant County series, Faithless
and have now started on the very last book of this series, Beyond Reach
. So far, it's great! I can't wait to get deeper into it.

Fortunately, I am only on the second Grant County and the third Will Trent so I'm good for a few weeks yet.
Just finished The Kill Room and it was another great Lincoln Rhyme book. Now reading Dolores Claiborne.

There are several Eve Duncan books by Iris Johansen I need to catch up on. I'm almost done with the Quincy/Rainie series by Lisa Garnder. I only have 2 more books in that series to read. I'm also reading the In Death series by JD Robb (which is forever long!!) and the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly so I have plenty to read lol. It's just a matter of what to read next!

Sandford is one of the few writers who, after reading his first one, I went on to read the rest one after the other. Connelly is another writer I can read back to back.
Just started
by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg. Nicolas Fox is reminding me a lot of White Collar's Neal Caffrey. Fun book.
I've just finished "A Man without breath." By Phillip Kerr. A good read if you enjoy detective stories set against historical events. A WW2 story written from a German perspective. Well written and cleaver, as all Phillip Kerr novels are.
Iam currently reading Killer Rumors by Anrenello Fiore. I'm half way through and consider a must read.

I'm going to read this book next and the description reminded me of the show White Collar, also.

I am into 100 pages of
. It is an unusual book, mystery, comparingDenmark with Greenland, people, animals, etc. a study of
snow. I will finish it. It is worth reading.
I'm currently reading Flying Colours by C.S. Forester (historical fiction), Titanic, First Accounts, by Tim Maltin (His) and just started The Water Rat of Wanchai, a new mystery for me, by Ian Hamilton.

I think Lee Goldberg did the show Monk, which I really liked, so I'm anxious to start. Pretty good pairing with Janet Evanovich.

Hi :) I'm new here :) I was looking for a group of mystery books and I found this group :) Seems great.Yesterday I finished reading
It was a very good book. So addicting. It took me 2 days. And yesterday evening I began reading
and again this book is good from the start :) I like when a book is addicting at first.
I finished The Last Victim by Karen Robards. It's a good mystery/thriller spiced up with some paranormal romance. I don't usually like romance in my mysteries but this was a bit different and rather entertaining. I enjoyed the book. 4 stars.
