am really curious about this one...will wait for your feedback - there isn't much info about the book on the page...

Hi Sanda. If you like an excellent psychological thriller, please have a look at Novels by Dennis Lehane Shutter Island, a Drink Before the War, the Given Day, Prayers for Rain, Sacred by Books LLC
if you haven't already read it.
The cover here is a little misleading. I am referring to 'Shutter Island' by Dennis Lehane.

Tim The Enchanter | 130 comments I have about 40 minutes left in The Dark Monk - The Dark Monk (The Hangman's Daughter, #2) by Oliver Pötzsch . This one is just a good as the Hangman`s Daughter and thouroughly enjoyable historical mysteries.

On tap, a new release I have been anticipating - Providence Rag A Liam Mulligan Novel by Bruce DeSilva - Providence Rag: A Liam Mulligan Novel. Does anyone else read Bruce DeSilva. I really enjoyed the first two book.

Thank you for a lovely recommendation Paul. I've read (and enjoyed immensely) The Shutter Island. I like Lehane's work, his books translate so well into film :)

I enjoyed it as well. I've steered away from Connelly just because I started reading other things but I definitely want to get back into that series. I haven't read a bad book yet!

Bonnie, in your comment box you'll see "add book/author", click on that, type in either your book title or ISBN then click the search button. When you select the correct book, click on "add" and it will appear in the box. Do the same for the author link:) Good luck.

Barbara (cinnabarb) | 10060 comments I finished Exclusive by Sandra Brown. After coffee with First Lady Vanessa Merritt, whose baby died from SIDS, TV reporter Barrie Travis decides - with zero evidence - that the baby was murdered and sets out to prove it. This leads to trouble because President David Merritt, who is corrupt and has his own hit squad, doesn't want adverse publicity. Looking for evidence Barrie tracks down Gray Bondurant, a former advisor to the President and immediately falls into bed with the handsome hottie. Gray apparently gets smitten and starts helping Barrie. As the President scrambles to hide his past actions he plans to kill off anyone who might expose him, including his wife. To me the plot of this book was unbelievable and full of cliches. There were also too many repetitive sex scenes. This might be an okay beach or plane read, but I wouldn't have missed anything by skipping it.

Oh, Jannene! I don't blame you at all. Without Simon Pegg I would never have thought to watch that movie.

I feel like I SHOULD watch the Walking Dead, as if it is somehow 'important' television. But then I realize how often I'm wrong about that and the urge goes away.

Well, imho, he's got the essence down, especially of Marlowe, without pretending to be Chandler. I've read all of Black's novels and I can definitely hear him at times in this book. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Jannene | 775 comments I finished Trunk Music.

This was another good book in the series. Bosch seems to become more human. He admits his short comings, takes the heat for his actions and also tries to take it for his team, and sees to still do the right thing. I liked him more in this book because of his emotions. I adore his new lieutenant. She stands by he people and trust them. I found the story not as great as previous ones. I think Michael was jus trying to build Bosch up as good cop with very human characteristics.

Probably the best book I have read this year. If you haven't yet discovered Bruce DeSilva, I suggest you go and pick up one of his books.
