Jenne (jennetheinstigator) I have to say we've done a kick butt job not claiming items that are getting called! We've gone 4 for 4 every week so far! And it looks like quite a few of the other players/teams have claimed table!

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 675 comments Jenne wrote: "And of course I started a good one for celebrity last night :-/

Don't forget historical figures can be celebrities ladies and if reading paranormal vamp, fae queens, kings, etc count."

I started a book last night too which now I must finish before I can read this week's book.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) I just finished a book this morning... so I'm wide open to make sure I find one with table and celebrity

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2732 comments Celebrity Acceptable synonyms: Famous person(s), Superstar Any level of celebrity works as long as it is a person that several would recognize. It can be a the name of the actual celebrity or the hint of it, for example “That sparkly vampire guy”, doesn’t mention a name but I bet you all know who I am talking about. The celebrity can be fictional such as a millionaire playboy, a sports star, rock star, the king or queen, news anchor. However, the celebrity has to be a celebrity in the world of the book. Most people know who Boo Radley is but if you read To Kill a Mockingbird, he isn’t a celebrity in that world so it won’t count. Biography or memoirs would probably have a celeb on the cover.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2732 comments I'm using "The Infamous Lord Master" as my celebrity. And I'll be claiming Table, Pizza, Bear and Foyer along with Celebrity!

message 157: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) I'm going to wait till the bingo shelf is called tomorrow and combine my reads. I'm thinking about Spider’s Revenge (Elemental Assassin, #5) by Jennifer Estep the MC is a local celebrity (known assassin and there's also the local mob boss) I think those would count. In their world they're both local celebrities.

The fae queen should count too so you should be good. That'll be food too to get bear and pizza out of the way.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 675 comments I'm getting ready to go out to the store because of possible strong severe storms coming in my area sometime in the afternoon. I'll see about what celebrity book to read later.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 675 comments Jenne wrote: "Be safe Amy!"

Thanks!

Phew! I finally found a book that uses celebrity. It also uses vegetable and foyer and I'll see about animal that I haven't claimed yet.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) I'm reading

Suddenly Royal (Suddenly, #1) by Nichole Chase

So NO problem with celebrity and table.

message 163: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) So besides celebrity and table I'm for sure claiming pasta, bathroom, and I'm thinking snake for my animal.

message 164: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) I can also claim pool for my architecture category. I don't know if I should go ahead and wrap up the point for bathroom or claim the harder swimming pool.....

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) Ok updated the post for the items we're close to having completed

Here's the link to all of the items we've claimed.

I know we're waiting on me for the bathroom point. I went ahead and claimed pool this week since it's a little harder to find. Next week I'll get bathroom for sure provided the item of the week isn't from that category.

Vegetable: Grilled vegetable kabobs, spinach salad with strawberries and goat cheese, scalloped potatoes, fried goat cheese with sliced tomatoes and fresh pesto, and a berry medley were among the dishes on the communal buffet. (Page 87)

When our item is called on Friday I'm going on a reading frenzy and will post my book before Saturday morning. Then I'll be good until we come back from vacation! I'm picking Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg and I'll look ahead of time to see what words I can use.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2732 comments Our whole family is a bunch of Disney nuts, we go every three years! It'll be my folks, hubby, kids and I (6 people total).

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) I haven't been in years, but my grandparents used to live like 1 hour away from Disneyworld. We went like every other year while I was growing up. We've even seen the actual track for Space Mountain (it was broken once so all the lights were on)

I probably haven't been there since the late 80's though

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 675 comments It has been about 16 years since my family has last taken a vacation to somewhere because of money. The last vacation we went to was to Florida and it was awesome going to Universal Studios Florida! I would love to take a vacation again somewhere one of these days!

Cute, very 'The Princess Diaries' -but the adult version. Unfortunately, the typos were enough for me to notice, and that's saying something; it really could use a heavy hand of editing to clean it up. Usually, it's not something I focus on, but it couldn't be avoided in this case.

Despite the less than stellar things, I have to admit- I was entertained. I didn't want to put the book down, or find something else to do.

For $0.99 (what I paid) not too bad, it's a solid purchase... but I wouldn't have been as happy had I paid more.

Prince Yummy indeed, and he had an accent, and blue eyes...

Items:
Bird(s) Location 77/Page 4 "Working with the birds brightened my mood. After checking through the cages to make sure there were no problems, I moved to weighing and measuring the birds."

Stairs Location 711/Page 69 "I took everyone up a flight of stairs to the floor with the offices."

Table Location 341/Page 31"I was glad I didn't have anything in my mouth, because I was pretty sure I would have spit it out on the table."

Pasta Location 2403/Page 242 "Chicken? Lamb? Some kind of pasta?"

Bonus: Celebrity Location 550 "'Prince Yummy brought you home.' Jess pointed a finger at me like I was in trouble. This was going to be bad. 'His Royal Highness, Prince Alex, brought me home.'"

Speaking of vacations I'll be gone in 3 weeks. It won't mess up my reading for this challenge though. I leave on a Wed and get back the following Saturday. I just won't be checking in while I'm gone.

Review:
Wow, what a gripping and action packed story! I'm so late to the Hunger Games Train! This book captivated me from the first chapter and didn't let up until the last page. Katniss was one tough girl! Ms. Collins has written this to where you feel as if you know the characters and the entire time you're reading this you're cheering them on. I love a good dystopian book but this one takes dystopian to a whole new level. It felt very Roman Colosseum meets Mad Max. I love when I read a book that makes me think of it and what might happen when I'm not reading. I think I'll have book hangover from this one for a bit!

Items:

carpets and a velvet couch and chairs KL#351
carrot soup, green salad, lamb chops and mashed potatoes Kl#461
bird on the cover
a dressing area, and a private bathroom with hot and cold running water KL#437
I dress in a dark green shirt and pants. Kl#437

Jennifer H Jenne, I just finished The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins too. I totally agree with your review and I too can't understand why it took me so long to read this book. Now, since Netflix has the movie on Instant Watch, I'll be watching the movie. I hope I'm not too disappointed.

Review:
I think this best can be described as similar to the old movie/shows Red Shoe Diaries. It's like that thrill of reading another person's secret diary. For me, I was completely enthralled. I love the layering of the elements of the story. I can 'get' the characters, and find Sara to be quite astute at times.

I was lucky to have snagged a NetGalley ARC of book 2, and immediately picked it up on the coattails of this book. Sexy and suspenseful, playful and punishing, a mental treat of a book that titillated my senses.

Items:
Dragon Location 3192/Page 209 "My gaze drops to his arm, to the red, blue, and yellow of the dragon tattoo."

Bathroom Location 2566/Page 168 "...walk away, cutting to my left, and toward the hallway opposite the office leading to the fancy guest bathrooms, afraid I'm going to do the completely unacceptable, and cry in public."

Bookshelves(s) Location 1076/Page 71 "I glance at the two bookshelves to my right, where various art books are displayed on stands and a dozen..."

Meat Location 1965/Page 129 "I highly recommend the chicken fajita tacos with the fire sauce."

Bonus: Green Location 2868/Page 188 "And I am not blind to what I see in the depths of his green eyes,"
