Am reading, Hope, by Lesley Pearce.
I reread my favorite novella of all time today--Loretta Chase's "The Mad Earl's Bride," due to be released in digital format in June. It made me want to reread all of the connected books, not a bad idea since Chase announced that Vixen in Velvet, which was scheduled for August 27 release, has been delayed until 2014. I can only go so long without reading Chase.
Theresa, I thought The First Move was an extraordinary book. Joan Kilby's Maybe This Time is another HSR I highly recommend. And I loved Karina Bliss's May release A Prior Engagement. I always check out the new HSRs, and it's a rare month that I don't read some of them.

I was just planning to read The Mad Earl's Bride as well! So sad that there's such a long wait to read Vixen in Velvet...
I reread The Viscount Who Loved Me by JQ yesterday. I think I might start Beautiful Redemption next. It's the last one in the Beautiful Creatures series....I just kind of what to see how it ends even though I wasn't that impressed with the last book.

Janga, have you read any of Chase's early novels that she's recently re-released? I think there are 6, and I'm wondering which to read first.
Glad to know you enjoyed The First Move so much! I'll be sure to look for the Kilby and Bliss stories too. Thanks for the rec.

I just re-read The Viscount Who Love Me as well yesterday and I forgot how much I wanted to yank out his nostrils through his lungs. I know in the end he is great and there are reasons why he is like the way he is, but jeez he drove me crazy when he was talking about mistresses with his ex-mistress.

Theresa, I've read all of LC's books, and I bought new copies of the trads soon after they were available as ebooks. None of them is quite as good as LOS and Carsington Books 2,3, and 5, but all the promise is there--and the wit and the prose. Devil's Delilah is my favorite because I have a weakness for beta heroes and I love that the heroine's father is the Hyeresque Devil. Objectively, I think Knave's Wager is the best of the bunch, but I like both DD and Viscount Vagabond better.

Thanks, Janga! Eventually I'll get them all, but I'll start with DD. I do love a great beta hero.
I ended up reading The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice (A.N. Roquelaure)yesterday- Eeeek! Some parts were pretty cringe worthy but I've satisfied that part of me that insisted I read this book.

I cried near the end of the first novel!
Always a good sign for me that it's a wonderful story.
