I am just about to start Waking up Married by Mira Lynn Kelly to review. My last book was very serious so think this might give a few days light relief!

Didn't have high expectations for The Night Circus but it quickly became one of my favorites. Definitely a good read.

I've been putting this off for a while. I think I'm a little bit scared to be honest.

Of it not living up to the hype. I'll probably wait until its blown over, when she's released another book or something and then read it. Until then my copy can just sit on my kindle lol

I was also worried about that, and put reading it off. But when I finally did pick it up I was pleasantly surprised!

Kyle (Ignoble) | 32 comments Alright, just switched to Wizard's First Rule. Haven't read the Sword of Truth series in a while. It was one of the series that really got me into reading a lot. Now though its kind of subpar compared to the awesome books I've read since, also they made a TV Show out of it that TOTALLY butchered it. I'm gonna read it for its nostalgic value though. ^_^

I'm reading Girl Three, it's one I'm reviewing as part of a blog tour. It's one of those ones I didn't actually know anything about before I agreed to review it which is sometimes the best way to do it. I started reading yesterday and I'm already at 66%.

message 21: by Kimi (new)

Kimi (hateeverybeautifulday) | 7 comments I finished 'Stolen' last night (well worth a read!! I enjoyed it, and it really is a complicated subject that makes for good writing. I liked how, without realising, I found myself thinking and feeling how Gemma would, and like her, also began to question and worry about them)

This morning I started 'Howls Moving Castle' by Diana Wynne Jones. I know it's technically a kids book, but I am a HUGE fan of the movie made by Studio Ghibli so I wanted to give the book a read, too!!

And getting ready to start What Dreams May Come. It was on special on Amazon yesterday and I loved that movie and all the reviews say it's better than the movie, so I couldn't pass itup!

message 25: by Kerry (new)

Taylor (bookworm6391) | 1 comments I am reading The Count of Monte Cristo. Its a long one and I haven't read a thousand page book yet this year so I'm taking my time to enjoy this one. Plus there is so much detail and so many characters that it keeps even the most experienced reader interested and on their toes throughout. The Count of Monte Cristo

message 35: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Garrett (heidi_g) I read The Count of Monte Cristo many years ago and remember that I just loved it:) The TV show Revenge is supposed to be based on that, the first season maybe, but then it kind of went off the tracks in season 2, lol.

Currently reading This is the life by Alex Shearer. I was SO looking forward to reading this, it's based on his real life experience if caring for his terminally ill brother and his subsequent death. However, the writing feels awkward. And although I quickly read 34 pages I can honestly say it has no 'pull' for me. Sadly I think this one will be headed for the dnf pile :-(
