Oh, I know that feeling! I've been more picky about what I add to my shelves.

Not the best book but I've read the first two so I figured I might as well finish the series.

If you would like a chance to read your idea in my next novel then this blog is for you! You will have to read The Undead Heart to submit your ideas but unfortunately I can’t just give copies away {Amazon doesn’t like it and I can understand that. They’re running a business and they don’t make money by just giving books away}. But I came up with a compromise.
You can go to amazon.com and get a copy of the Kindle version of The Undead Heart for $6.99 {a lot cheaper than the hard copy version at $18.99} and you don’t even have to have a kindle handheld device to get it! Amazon offers a Kindle PC eBook reader download for free on their site! They also offer a free download for Macs and free Kindle eBook reader apps for mobile phones! I promise that this is not a ploy to sell books {mostly because at $6.99 I’m only making $.09 per copy sold. YIPPEE!}.
I honestly need your help. I want you to read the book and send me your ideas for the second book in the series, Blood Thirst {little ideas, big ideas, ANY IDEAS AT ALL!!} You can send plot ideas or just things you’d like to see your favorite characters say or do. I need your ideas as quickly as possible because I’ve promised Blood Thirst would be out by March 2011 (that’s only 5 months away, folks}. Send your ideas to bloodthirstseries@yahoo.com. If I pick your idea I will (a.) give you full credit in the book for pulling my ass out of the fire, (b.) Stay in constant contact with you throughout the writing of Blood Thirst {just in case you have anymore great ideas I can pick from your brain}. (c.) Write you in as a character in Blood Thirst or the 3rd and last book in the series {I’ll leave that choice up to you). I’ll also send you a free hard copy of Blood Thirst when it’s released in March.
I'm about half way done with Dog Blood and am still trying to figure out the meaning behind the title. It's the second in a series. The first one, Hater, was GREAT! Highly recommended for anyone that wants something different and very creepy. (Here's my review of Hater if you're curious)
I also started Fire Study today. Such a great series :D

Read Cold Magic. Again, it was slow for me to really get into it. It is kind of fantasy/steampunk. But the last half was quite good and I would reccamend it.
Currently reading The Grimrose Path. Im not to far in but already I have laughed out loud twice. I am liking it.
Also reading Cast in Chaos. This is the latest in a series I am reading

Not really my thing. NOT at all erotic, for sure. A most unconvincing romance.

I have really loved that series. The first book was the hardest to get through but after that it was quite the ride! How did you like it?

It was something different from what I've been reading. I liked the whole magic user/Djinn relationship. I have already requested book 2 from the library and am interested to see where Joanne and David are going from here...

I have started The Sorceress.I did like The Alchemyst (didn't love it), but I didn't enjoy The Magician. I'm probably reading The Sorceress merely because I bought this book and The Necromancer while reading The Alchemyst. I need to stop buying a set of books before I know whether or not I like the series. One book at a time. Anyway I want to see what happens to some of the characters and I like the mythical references. Maybe I'll grow to like the series.

I liked Boneshaker as well but wanted to really love it. I think it was just a little too slow moving for what I was in the mood for.
I'm going to read Clementine soon. I heard that it's not a series that follows the same group of characters. They are just three books set in the same world. I liked the world A LOT so I'm hoping Clementine will be faster paced.

I just got my copy of Side Jobs yesterday! I can't wait to start it. I think tomorrow will be a reading day
I'm reading The Secret History of Moscow and really enjoying it.
I'm also reading a first-reads giveaway - 33 A.D.. Of all of the books I've won so far this one is my favorite.

A slow moving zombie book! Who'd of thunk! Did it shamble ;-)

Now reading The Grimrose Path. So far so good.

I don't have that one yet. I've read several of his short stories that the author has online that are prequels. I've got quite a few anthologies with his short stories in them. I know they're all combined in that book Side Jobs. I havn't seen a listing yet of which stories are in it to know if I have them all from the original anthologies or if it includes a never before released story in addition. I put it on my PBS wish list anyway. Will take forever and a day on there. lol

A Restoration of Faith
Vignette
Something Borrowed
It's my Birthday, too
Heorot
Day Off
Backup
The Warrior
Last Call
Love Hurts
Aftermath

Julia, I just finished Side Jobs last week. There were two stories in there that brought tears to my eyes. The last story takes place just after Changes ends. It makes me want the Ghost Story REALLY bad!

I keep hearing that Lily, it's a slow read though. Maybe once the action starts I'll get more into it. I'll read a little, read something else, go back to it. I'm baaaad!

Nancy Pearl in Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment, and Reason says you should read 50 pages of a book and if it hasn't grabbed you by then, find one that will. (Actually, I think that number depends on the reader's age. For me it's 50 pages, for you it might be 75 or 25 pages...)
I also like history a lot, so.
I just finished Pegasus, which I liked very much and had its main characters, among other things, going back and forth in history.
I'm about to read the novella "Beginnings" in
Tales of the Otherworld as it's due at the library tomorrow.

I've tried reading "Midnight Sun" I would lie to read it. But it is to hard to read on the computer, I really wish Stephine Meyer would finish it and put it out. It makes me really mad to know that she was going to publish it and somebody took it from her and posted it like that.
