I really like these books Melodie. I've ordered the next couple from the library and I'll try to get through the entire series.

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 22 comments Read Personal Demons (Megan Chase, #1) by Stacia Kane this week while on airplanes. Wasn't sure how into it I was for the first half, but when I finished I knew I was going to keep reading the series.

Just started the 9th Anita Blake book Obsidian Butterfly (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton yesterday. Not sure if I'm going to like spending an entire book with Edward/Ted Forrester... but I'm hopeful.

Valorie I'm reading Murder Game (GhostWalkers, #7) by Christine Feehan and I'm loving it!

message 859: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 22 comments Put Obsidian Butterfly (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton on hold for a bit while I devour The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1) by Carrie Ryan . Romantic zombie book -- digging it.

message 860: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Finished Deadly Game and am now reading Urban Shaman.

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 22 comments Finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1) by Carrie Ryan and really loved it. Read my review (no spoilers) over on Vampire Book Club.

I'm still working my way through Obsidian Butterfly (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton . It's long, but I think I'll finish tonight.

message 865: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I just finished Elijah (Nightwalkers, #3) by Jacquelyn Frank , best book of the series so far! I really enjoyed it. I'm now reading Blood Magic (World of the Lupi, #6) by Eileen Wilks

message 866: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I started to read The Better to Hold You, but put it down. I couldn't get into it. I'll try again later. I am currently reading Slave to Sensation. It's ok so far. I'm trying to read some of the the books I've had around for a long time. And, of course, I continue to read White Night.

I just got started with the In Death books a few months ago and am currently on #9. They're a bit up and down, but on the whole pretty good reads. Great for filling in the holes when you're dedciding what you want to read next.

I'm liking it so far. I read a "Death" short story that's like #17.5 or something. There was a lot of 1930s PI speak which drove me a little crazy. I've heard the series is good, so I thought I'd start at the beginning. I'm not finding any of that lingo so far, so maybe if I let it grow on me I won't be pulling my hair out when she calls her husband "Ace".

message 870: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (lifeasabooknerd) I'm reading Wish You Were Here and A Study in Scarlet and A Dark Matter. Then I plan on starting Lost in Translation.

message 871: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I put Slave to Sensation down. Could be I'm not in a reading mood. Slave to Sensation interested me more than The Better to Hold You, but not enough to continue. I'll try to read it later. I continue to read White Night. Maybe I'll finally finish it, if it's the only book I'm reading!

message 875: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 22 comments Finished Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid, #3) by Richelle Mead the other night, which made me cry. Damn if Richelle Mead can't write a breakup. (If you're interested, I blogged about her gut-wrenching writing.)

So, while I really want to finish out the Georgina Kincaid series, I think I need a breather book. I started Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine last night and after a few chapters I really got into it. I'm hoping it'll be a fun, quick read.

Teresa (teresainohio) Hush, Hush should finish it by tomorrow, not sure of the whole story yet but I can't stop reading it

and The Body Findernot paranormal but it does have a little woo-woo to it, the main character can sense dead bodies and imprints they leave on the killer. this will be done today

I read HUSH, HUSH last November, T, and ended up being terribly disappointed with it. I thought it had a lot of potential that was wasted.

I lOVE the book, but usually I had it all figure out or at least know where it is going, I find the storytelling compelling me to keep reading but not giving up any secrets.

Angela (angbens) Reading Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead and then going to try to read Stargazer (Evernight, #2) by Claudia Gray

Angela -- Both of those are good. Stargazer isn't as strong as Evernight, but I promise, the next book Hourglass is fantastic.

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 22 comments After a couple flights this week, I finished Wings (Wings, #1) by Aprilynne Pike and have just started The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa .

The Iron King is definitely not what I expected, but in a really good way. I'm already falling in love with this book.

That's what I heard. I had already started Stargazer when the Succubus book came in from the library, so I stopped until I am finished with that one. It didn't pull me in like the first, so I hope that it does once I go back to it.
