((Wtf? That doesn't make sense....))Beven didnt know if it was a good idea. Would Hayden wake up again if she fell asleep? Sleep had always helped her sicknesses before hadn't they? Besides, even if she said no, Hayden would pass out anyway. She brushed a piece of hair out of Hayden's face and nodded. "Sleep, just for a little bit," she said softly as she started walking forward. Each step killed her body.
((Well I fell asleep so yeah XD)) Hayden nodded slowly, her head lolling lazily onto Beven's shoulder, her eyes fluttering shut. "You're a good sister," she mumbled, smiling faintly. Smiling made her head hurt a little less, strangely, as if it was dark moods causing her problems. Which she knew it wasn't.
((You needed sleep Smiley ^^))Beven smiled faintly, despite the crummy situation they have seem to have gotten into. "Thanks Hayden," she said quietly. She knew the School was to her back, so she decided to walk forward. East, she believed it was. Her and the flocks footsteps were the only noises she could hear. Good or bad?
((Right now the flock has just escaped the School, in Colorado. They had taken refuge in the canyons to stay hidden and now have gotten a little lost. Hayden is sick, and possibly dying. They are trying to find their way out now))
Morgan walked behind the group, a straggler, pretty much. He wasn't in the best of moods, at the moment, but of course, it could have been worse. He could be dead, after all. But, it seemed like everyone was alright, so he didn't need to be too worried. However, he couldn't let his guard down, since they were lost. His body ached from the endless walking.
((I'm in an awful mood. >_> I blame life. So if my characters are depressed, that's why :/))Hayden sighed softly, her head lolling onto Beven's shoulder, her eyes sliding shut. "When will we get there?" She mumbled, trying not to slip into sleep. She didn't quite know where 'there' was, but she wanted to stop running soon.
((Im sorry Smiley! <3333))"Im not sure Hayden," Beven answered honestly and faltered in mid-stride, thinking she heard footsteps behind them. No, it was impossible for the school to catch them in the labyrinth of these rocks. "I'll hurry," she said, moving a little faster, not caring that it hurt.
((Im sorry Drax))
((How come I don't get hearts? And should they already know Morgan? He's really social, and a goof, pretty much.))
((I'll give out hearts <3333333333333 I'm fine with it :3 my charries seem to be social butterflies when it comes to fellow mutants lol))
Hayden didn't answer Beven's statements, feeling her speed up. Despite the fact that her head was bouncing--quite painfully, might she add--she didn't ask Beven to slow down. She just wanted to get out of here, and fast.
((You want hearts? <3333 Lo siento Beven could know him, she's been in several schools around. She's not shy, just defensive and not trusting. It may take her a minute to recognize the face.))
Morgan walked a bit faster to keep pace, continuing his silent trek. He didn't want to disturb the two until they'd stopped moving. He was good at being quiet, when he needed to.
Beven would have assumed that Hayden had fallen asleep, but she would have felt her breathing even out completely. She fought the urge to peek over her shoulder to see if someone was coming. She knew she had not hallucinated the footsteps. It couldnt have been an animal either, to big of a sound.
Morgan adjusted his bandana, putting another one of his loose feathers in it. He was trying to stay out of their way, but in their perception, so they didn't think he was sneaking around. He wanted them to trust him, after all.
Jax looked at the boy, her face pale. Her cat-like ears twitched, "You walk to loud Mo." She says with a small smirk.((Can they have been old friends from the school? If that's okay with you.))
Beven couldn't take it anymore. It was driving her insane, not knowing. It was comparable to a breath on the back of your neck, a constant annoyance that made you tense up. If it was the school, why didn't they just attack already? If she were honest, she would consider letting them take her. That's how crummy she felt. But it wasn't just her, she had Hayden. Slowly, she turned her head around, seeing only a lone figure.
((Two figures, it seems.))Morgan waved ahead lightly, smiling sheepishly. "How do I walk loud? I'm not stomping or anything. You're such a critic," he replied to Jax, rolling his eyes.
"I have cat hearing." Jax says, biting her lip to hide her smile. She gets up and hugs her old friend, her body light and weak. "I missed you." She murmured.
"Gah. Why are you always so gushy?" Morgan asked, patting her back. He hadn't seen the cat girl for years, since she'd escaped without him. She was like a sister to him back in the cages.((Sister-zoned! Sorry, but I'm aiming for another charrie here.))
((Lol, I wasn't going for gf bf action.))"Since I realized things don't always last Mo. Eyesight, people, friends, family." Jax says softly, her now blind eyes looking at him.
Hayden frowned slightly, her unseeing eyes snapping open. "I can hear someone," she whispered to Beven, rubbing her eyes and trying to block out her headache. "Do you hear them too?"
((Just making it clear.))"Ah. Well, if it makes you feel better, I poked a whitecoat in the eyeballs," Morgan replied, shrugging.
Jax smiled, her shoulders shaking with silent giggling, "Good job Mo. Next time though, if you have the chance, kick em' where it hurts." She says, a bigger smile lighting her face.
Beven had stopped walking by then. The voices didnt sound like whitecoats, much too young. "I hear them," she said quietly to Hayden. Her broken wing lay limp by her side while the other one was folded against her spine. If they could have flown out of this situation, it would have been a lot easier to avoid. "I see them too," she added as she moved over to rocks that would provide more covering. Maybe they would just walk by them, no trouble necessary
((Isn't Jax already a flock member or something?))Morgan stopped at the boulders. "Hello? I was wondering who you guys were," he called, deciding to break his silence towards the two. He didn't know how to use his freedom, and being a loner wouldn't help any.
Beven relaxed just a bit, hearing the familiar voice of Jax. "Jax?" she questioned, just to make sure. A friend? Jax seems to know everyone. She hesitantly walked over, looking around as she did so. Nothing would get by her. She would not fall into a trap.
"Yeah. This is Morgan. He was next to me in the school, he's like an older brother to me." Jax says, her head spinning. She sat down and leaned on the wall, her head throbbing painfully.
Xanna set on the side of the canyon. Literally. She watched the dots below her that were most likely people, or animals. She frowned slightly as she watched them. What would people be doing out here? Erasers, she thought, the answer popping into her head quickly, but she didn't move. Not until she had actual proof that they were erasers.
Beven looked over Morgan carefully, seemed like no threat, but she wouldnt let her guard down. She never did until she is certain. Just ask Hayden, they have been through so much, ups and downs. Some trust or alliance issues regarding her father, but now Beven knew that she could trust Hayden, her sister. "Hey," she said calmly.
"Is for horses," Morgan joked, grinning. He was happy that he'd been introduced and, at least partially, accepted, but he was still the clown, and he still had to blurt out every joke that came to his mind whenever possible. "I, however, prefer anything that isn't infused with chemicals and... School juice," he added. He had his smoke traveling around in a fine mist, almost invisible. However, it was making sure that no one was around. A wisp of it whispered something in his ear. "Above us..." he muttered aloud, looking up. There was a dark shape on the side of the canyon... That could be bad news.
((Me!))Jax's ears twitched, hearing a faint heartbeat from high above them. She heard what Morgan said, and her blind eyes turned upwards. "Who do you think is there? It doesn't sound like an eraser." Jax mutters.
It took Beven a minute to understand the joke, or to even realize it was one. Its been a long time since she has been exposed to any humor. Well, unless you count the sick humor or the whitecoats. Which she didnt. But she didnt have time to respond when a figure was spotted above them. Quickly, her head snapped up, where lone figure was perched. "It looks to small to be a flyboy or eraser," she mused, already slowly backing into the covering of some stones.
Realizing she'd been spotted, Xanna narrowed her eyes. Since the people were too far down for her too make out, she couldn't identify if they were Erasers or not by their appearances, but she could watch them. One of them was backing away towards some rocks, going to the edge of her eyesight. If they were Erasers, they would've attacked me immediately, she thought.
Morgan concentrated, and turned his body into smoke temporarily. He immediately began to float up, moving towards her. Luckily for him, it wasn't very windy, so he was safe. He got close to the figure and reformed, snapping his wings out, in order to keep himself airborne. "Hello there... How are you doing that?" he asked, immediately social. He, for some reason, was nice to everyone.
Beven carried Hayden over to the covering of the rocks as she watched Jax's friend turn into some sort of vapor. She sat down carefully, knowing she couldn't stay on her feet forever. The little energy needed to be saved for walking, finding their way out of the canyons.
Hayden frowned, eyebrows furrowing together. "What's happening?" She asked softly, hoping the echoing of her words would give her an idea of who was where. No such luck.
"Not sure exactly," Beven started quietly. "But Jaxs friend showed up and spotted someone on top the rocks. They turned to some sort of mist and floated up. So far, no one looks like a threat, though I can't say how long it will last."
Xanna jumped, surprised at the appearance of the boy and mentally kicking herself for it. She was still sitting on the edge of the canyon, though she had moved slightly so she could leave if things went wrong or got bad. She took in his wings and appearance, silently determining that he wasn't an Eraser. "You're asking me how I'm doing this," she said, "when you have freakin' wings sticking out of your back?"
"Well, yeah. I mean, who cares? You do too. I've seen you in the cage room before," Morgan replied, shrugging. I can't sit on walls. I can, however, turn into smoke. But that's besides the point," he added, grinning at her.
A faint frown appeared on Xanna's face, but it disappeared quickly. The appearances of the other victims from the School were foggy in her mind, but she guessed that he was from there. Where else would he get the wings from? She didn't like that he recognized her and she couldn't place him, but she kept that off of her face. "The point being what, exactly?" she asked, sounding and looking bored.
"The point being that we're similar, and I think you should run with us. Safety in numbers and all of that. If any of the School comes after us..." Morgan's perpetually cheerful mood disappeared. "Then they're going to have to deal with a very angry ghost," he growled, turning his hand into billowing, wispy smoke as a demonstration. His codename in the School, as he'd heard the Whitecoats say, was Project Ghost. Unlike the Eraser's, however, he wasn't brainwashed.
Xanna watched his hand, but her expression didn't change. "So, you want me to join you and the people down there," she said, gesturing below them, "when I haven't actually met any of you personally, and all I know is that you're from the School. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." When she finished talking, sarcasm had crept into her voice. She didn't sound very excited about traveling with a bunch of strangers.
Isabel brushed the dust off her knees and stood up. Regarding the flock members' worn and badly injured bodies, she slowly said with a grimace, "I think we've been here too long,"

Hayden winced at the movement, closing her eyes and letting her head loll to the side, trying to take deep breaths. "Can I go back to sleep?" She asked softly, curling up against her sister as comfortably as she could.
