((continue in the doomsday folder?))

((blah, sorry for crappy posts. Running out of time DX Laptop is dying.))

"Just outside the school gates, Colorado. And we are heading northwest for now," Beven answered breathlessly. "I know, your head. We will stop and rest soon," she promised, not just for Hayden's sake, Bevens whole left side had become numb from her back, to her elbow.

Hayden nodded, closing her eyes again. "Where is everyone?" she asked softly, wincing. "I want to sleep," she whined. "And make it all go away..."

"I don't know where everyone is, they left out the window. Flying out, we'll run into them soon," Beven answered softly. "Don't worry, just a little bit longer," she assured as she moved as quickly as she could away from the school, making her way to the cannons. They would be easy to hid in and hard to find if the school did decide to come after them

"We'll run into them?" Hayden asked softly. "You're sure?" she wanted a promise, she always did. "Why aren't we flying?" she asked confusedly. "Wouldn't that be faster?"

Beven bit her lip, she didn't know it for sure. "I can't promise that. But I will promise I'll look for them until I find them," she said softly as she slowed to a walked, carefully avoiding rocks along the ground. "It would be faster. But I can't fly, an eraser broke my wing," She reminded her

Hayden whimpered, curling up against Beven. "You will?" she asked softly. "Good." She still wanted a promise, but only if it were true. So maybe no promise was better. "Right."

Beven nodded sadly. "I won't let the flock stay split," she promised. She continued to walk slowly, feeling herself crash down. She spotted a cave on ground level and decided to head towards that. When she got closer, she could see it wasnt a cave, but a small indentation in the rocks. It would have to do for now because they couldn't go any higher to a cave now. She gently set Hayden down and collapsed next to her. "We can stay here and rest up."

Hayden nodded slowly, closing her eyes. She hardly even noticed when Beven set her down, because she was in too much pain, that more didn't make a difference. "I don't feel good..." she said softly, as if it wasn't already clear that she felt awful.

Beven leaned back heavily against the wall, fresh pain searing through her shoulder and wing. She sluggishly moved so she was sitting upright. "I know Hayden," she said softly, it was very clear she didnt feel good, just by looking at her. "Do you still have the cure? We could try that," she offered slowly

Hayden's eyes fluttered slightly, her action so slow and sluggish it was almost as if she weren't moving. "Huh?" she asked softly, frowning. "Cure..."

Beven frowned slightly. She knew she saw Hayden take the vials and stick them in her pocket. "Do you have the cure for your sickness?" She asked worriedly

Hayden nodded weakly. "I think so..." she said softly. "I just don't remember... My head hurts too much to remember..."

Beven nodded slowly. "It's alright, can you check your pockets?" She felt bad asking things of Hayden when she felt like this

Hayden whimpered softly, curled up on her side. "Can I do it later?" she asked. "It hurts to move."

Beven bit her lip. "The cure will help," she insisted softy. That is, if it was the cure. Which it was, it has to be. She was certain

"What if it isn't?" Hayden asked softly. "I don't want to get sicker when I'm sick."

Beven sighed. "We can try it later then," she said, caving in like she always did when Hayden was sick. "Just try and sleep."

Hayden nodded, blindly reaching for Beven's hand. "I don't feel good..." she said softly.

Beven grabbed Hayden's hand with the one that wasnt broken and held it softly. "I know, just try and sleep. I'll be right here," she promised softly

Hayden closed her eyes, biting her lip. "I don't feel good," she repeated, her voice fading. "At all..."

Beven tightened her hand around Hayden's slightly. "It's going to be alright, it's going to be okay," she repeated softly, looking worriedly at Hayden.

Hayden nodded weakly, head lolling to the side. "Right," she said softly, her grip on Beven's hand loosening slightly as she drifted off.

Beven pulled Hayden into her lap and stroked her hair softy as she fought off sleep herself.
