I hope they do another one but maybe not until July.

I am moving myself to "Pewter Blue" to start a new group and to even out the numbers. **waves** You know I love you all. I may be back; you'll probably see me move all over the assignment board.
Captains, start thinking about which of you wants to join the new group to "captain a new group" and I'll plug in any new person that matches your number to Cadet Blue.

I'll talk with Mary about who will switch and who will stay. I'm good either way. If I switch, I'll have to figure out how to give her access to edit the spreadsheet for CB.
Eek, it's so exciting to see a new team crop up!

I will just steal Teresa's format for the speadsheet like she stole them from someone else.

I added another column, with a direct link to the team member's actual bookshelf for the team, too. I got tired of having to click profile, then look for the bookshelf name whenever I update the spreadsheet.

just a little rant: I love my nexus 7, however it autocorrets me to portuguese, so I need to go back to rewrite every other word. It drives me nuts *sigh*

*is back from looking*
Okay... what I mean is, I made a link on the spreadsheet directly to the person's shelf that they named for the team challenge. So, basically, when I'm updating the spreadsheet, I have two tabs open -- the spreadsheet in one, then the "Team Challenges" in another. On "Team Challenges" page, I click each person's tally ("8 of 100", etc) to update that and to just look at their book covers/names. Meanwhile, from the spreadsheet, I click Column J (Where I added the personal shelf hyperlink) to get to the person's personal shelf (like "cadet_blue" or "RaT2013" or whatever it is named) so I can then look over page numbers and read dates.
Going from the Team Challenges page alone requires clicking their name to get to their profile, then looking at all of their bookshelf names to find the one that relates to our challenge. I just bypass that annoying (to me) step by doing it from inside the spreadsheet to their shelf.

Teresa, everyone's bookshelf hyperlinks are on the Google Spreadsheet Round II Requests for Sign-Ups.

I may or may not have remembered that (I don't remember now, since I don't look at that spreadsheet all the time) but the point is, when I'm in *our* spreadsheet updating *it*, I like having quick access to the personal bookshelves. I don't want to go back and forth between different spreadsheets to click the bookshelf links, I just want to go to our spreadsheet, click so-and-so's shelf directly, which opens it in the next tab, then I sort their shelf by last date read and look at page numbers to make sure they are 160 pages or more, then go back to our spreadsheet to update Columns E & F ('last date a book was posted' and 'last date a pagecount was done'). To me, that's just the most efficient way for me to update our team's spreadsheet.
edit: Eep. Now I have to remember to not count books that were allowed in the RaT that were under 160 pages.
Also, I just edited our spreadsheet. And this is RaT talk...I really need to get out of this thread.
LOL! Yes, I can totally understand that, Teresa, for a Team spreadsheet. It is just a lot of work for me to move all those bookshelves to the spreadsheets I use when overlooking the entire 173 people in this challenge.
I was just pointing it out, in case you needed to verify the name of someone's bookshelf. Some are pretty ambiguous.
