Another book down! I've updated my page count thread. My book actually has 199 pages of text but Goodreads says 201 because of the flyleaf at the end. I'm halfway to my goal. I am 37 pages into my next read and that will be a fast one, then onto my 4th and that will also be fast.

Oh, and I checked Goodreads' page count for my prior book, True Blue -- they say 454 pages, but there are actually 456 pages of text in the book, the last 2 are acknowledgements. I did read them word-for-word so I just counted the pages because I thought that Goodreads counted them, too. If you don't think I should count them, let me know so I can fix my page count thread! I figured...they're not the actual story in the book but I always read the acknowledgements because I enjoy reading an author's inspiration or their sources or whatever it is they feel like sharing with me as a reader in that part of the book.
I read the acknowledgement, too! LOL! Of course, I read the credits after a movie... and info on a cereal box.
I really want to dive into the new Sookie book but I have dinner plans tonight. I won't be out late so I will probably start it tonight when I get home.

Yay, Lisa Kay!I'm almost done with my current book. My cat finally came home this morning so I can now get back to reading without worrying. I kept having trouble focusing on the book because of him but now I'm so happy and ready to focus and get the next two books done! Ack, I may not make my goal! I might have to switch my last two books around because one is bigger than the other so I'll reach my goal if I read the bigger one first. But can I read it fast enough?? EGADS!
Off to get serious about reading.
Not much reading for me the last couple of days. I went out 2 nights in an row and didn't get any reading done when I got home. Got some audiobook time in but on Atlass Shrugged and I have too many hours to go to finish that for the RAT. Started this in the car though:
. I brought this to work with me today and if it's slow this afternoon, I can get a good chunk of it read:
After a ton of health issues this week, I may finally be able to pick up that last book to finish up my goal. Hopefully. *crosses fingers*. At least I have my blue and uniform book out of the way.
Yay! Teresa's kitty is home save.
How are you liking Atlas Shrugged, Mary: HDLS? I was blown away by that book years ago - in the seventies! Eeep!
How are you liking the Fire & Ice series, Sarah?
Smart woman, Jex! I hope you're 110% soon.

So far, I'm enjoying it, when I don't want to take Martin to task. Nothing is sacred to him, in terms of characters being off limits and the like. I freely admit to skipping the first book because it read exactly like the first season. A Clash of Kings and Storm of Swords have so much in them and are farther from the show, although the show does a good job.
I hate watching shows/movies based on books so finally bowed to reading the Song of Fire and Ice books just so I'd know what to expect. I usually much better about it.
Loving Atlas Shrugged it's just so long. I read the Fountainhead several years ago and really liked that. I just put this one off because it's a doorstopper.
I finished another HP late last night/early this morning. I just can't remember the name of it. I need to go into the other room and read the title. Something about "twins" and "marriage." I didn't like it very much. The H was a bit of an asshat.
You must not have liked it much if you already forgot the name!I meant to an update last night but I got caught up other things. I'll do one very soon.
So I'm looking through Jessica's books to see if anything works for Blue or Uniform. This is the closest to blue that I found-is it blue enough?Ok the add a book tab is all mangled and goofy. Let me see if I navigate away and then back it'll fix itself.
(yep it worked)
-blue enough?
I need to go get a prescription filled and go grocery shopping. When I get back I'll look at her books some more to see if one would work for uniform. Maybe I'll message her and ask. I'm not familiar with any of them.
For Jessica, I'd say it is blue enough, Mary: HDLS. I mean, they are blue jeans, right?
I think Sonia was asking if The Kingdom had enough blue in it. I think so. ☺

I might be wrong, but I think the Kingdom one looks like orange is most prominent and the other one might be black or gray. I can't tell if that lighter color is blue or not but overall, it looks more black to me than anything.

Not sure if that's blue enough. That has a lot of white, maybe 50/50 white/blue. Would be great for team Moonstone, heh. Sonia, what say you?
For Jessica,
sounds like it qualifies for uniform. I read the synopsis and a few reviews. One review mentions cops and spies and the main guy is called a "commando." Sounds like uniform to me! And hey, blue drink on cover, bonus.
What I have left; I'm a little over 1/3 done with each book:
= 520 pages
= 372 pages
Total = 892
Calculations:
4,000
-3,342
658
I'll have to work at it to get TSP,WL done in time. I'll give it the old college try.

OK I will put those as Jessica's theme book. I spent all day out shopping and running errands. But I got through 3 more CDs of Lady Sophia's lover and will finish that tonight.
Going to try and finish Dead Ever After tonight too.
I wish the RAT went through til tomorrow night. I had already planned to pretty much spend my Mother's Day relaxing and reading but the RAT ends at 11 am my time so most of it won't count.
I've decided to do one more big update tonight and then check in the morning for last minute pages being read. I already have the update prepared, I just need to add any books finished since this morning.
I hope it's not a problem for our team that I didn't do any of the non-reading mini challenges. I just never got around to it. I will go do them tonight if it's going to cost us points. But I thought I read that they were optional and just for fun.
I'm a prepping an update to submit before I go to bed. So far here are our stats:
I have 7 out of 8 Blue books with no blue book for the Mod account.
I have 8 out of 8 Uniform theme books.
I have 6 out of 8 having hit goal.
I will check in the morning and submit any updates needed until time is up.
I'm tempted to try and squeeze another book in before time is up but I passed my goal so I might just lay in bed and watch Ghost Adventures instead.
Finished one.

Mary: Harry Dresden's Love Slave wrote: "OK that book was finished before the RAT started so it doesn't count."Oh, drats! I didn't even look at the date on it, I just saw it on their 'read' thingy.
I know the games are all for fun but it bugs me that the crossword has not been completed because I've been trying to work on it but I haven't had the time. I need to read, LOL! So, if anyone wants to do the crossword, that'd be cool but if not, that's fine, too. I can try to do it later, hopefully once I finish my book before this thing ends!I'm glad I woke up at 4 AM because now I can read, LOL! Back to bed to read!
I just woke up too, Teresa! LOL! I finished

Well, one thing this R-a-T did was get me caught up in my overall percent for Cadet Blue! I was a reading machine this last week.
