LOL! I already named it that but I can delete it if someone thinks of a better title! I am brain dead today. Was a long, physically and mentally draining day at work.

Or you or I can go in an edit it. LOL! Not a problem. ☺ Sorry about work. I hope you are not getting drained over this. This is supposed to be fun!
I was looking for a way to edit the title but didn't see one. Nah, not drained over this. I just need a little while to decompress from work. I've only been home under an hour and of course I hopped right onto Goodreads first thing, hehe! I just wanted to get the thread started but had a complete creative block when trying to come up with a name. That's what I get for being impatient, lol!
Nope, not drained over the RaT at ALL, very anxious and excited and looking forward to it.
Oh duh, I see the "edit" link clear as day NOW! LMBO!!I find myself to be such a source of amusement when I'm brain dead, LOL!
I'm also stealing LJB's idea for their page count thread (unfortunately, not their title because it's really no more creative than ours, LOL). Going to edit that first post, accordingly!
If you can't edit it Theresa we can. We cheat like that. But there should be an edit button to the right of the title.
Thanks, Jex! I found it, hehehe. I noticed it in this thread first, then went to the other and saw it and went, "duh" because I somehow missed it the first time I looked there.Mmm,sugar! I might need some sort of chocolate snack soon, maybe some chocolate snack bread! Mmmm...
In the meantime...
I updated Message #3 in this thread with a couple of pictures (I love the one that represents uniforms, made me giggle) and our participant goal list.
Not too late, have until the 8th to sign up or make changes. Mary or myself will add you to the thingy.
Remember to check your page count on GRs before starting. And DO NOT tag any book 2 hours before start of R-a-T.
See my example here.
See my example here.
I want to change my goal to 1200 pages. I feel like I'm going too easy since I have pre-started books and all.
No guilt allowed! This is a Guilt-Free Zone!
(Note: I will find almost any excuse to look for images to post, LOL! I'm so glad you guys explained just how easy this process is)
Love all the pictures in our page count thread! Of course I need to find one. I can't believe I didn't do that yesterday!Jessica and Sarah, don't forget to claim a spot all to yourself in our Page Count Thread
So, does the Mod acct have a page goal? Or is that for something else? I just noticed they claimed a page count spot, lol. But they did not tell us they were participating, tee hee! (Is that just a place to keep the entire RaT pages-read listed?)
A Few Uniform Book Lists (as they qualify by OUR standards for this RaT)**NOTE: Please be sure to choose a book where a character actually WEARS a uniform (or at least has a job that uses one) at some point in time throughout the book. I did a search for 'Armor' and came up with a bunch of 'knight-in-shining-armor' scenarios, which does *not* fit our theme.

My uniform book will be This Heart of Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillps. Hero is a professional football player.
Nevermind I figured it out. I had no idea it kept track of that but I found my stats list. So I just post my current page count on my pages thread?
I'm going through the participants list to do starting page counts, JUST IN CASE anyone forgets. Please be sure to do it yourself before you tag/count any books as "READ", just in case my number is inaccurate!Jessica: 18,628
Sarah: 48,487
Lisa Kay: 18,318
Teresa: 9176
Mary (HDLS): 22,953
Sonia: 9688
Jex: 3900
Mods: 3648

Yep, LK's link is broken somehow. I'll repost the how-to!
HOW TO CHECK YOUR STARTING PAGES READ TOTAL! (copied from Sonia's instructions in the original RaT thread)How to check the number of pages read
On the profile page choose stats

Then select the radio button pages and watch the orange bar fill! That number is your total pages read for 2013, so far.

The only way to keep count is to check the number of pages before the start of the Read-a-Thon week and at the end. The difference will be the total of pages read
Participants should avoid tagging any books the 2 hours prior the start of the read-a-thon and the 2 hours after the end of the read-a-thon.
Feel free to put some sort of "reading plan" into your page stats post if you wish to keep track of things there or just to "share with the class." I posted my goals there so I'd have easy access to them.
Good Morning, Lisa Kay! Did you sleep well??I LOVE the cover for the book you are reading for the cover. The synopsis sounds good, too.
My starting page count needs to be changed to 23369.I finished a book last night but didn't mark it read until this morning. I dated it finished 4/30/13. Hopefully that doesn't mess anything up.
I refreshed your stats 4 times, and went to your read books and all, and they still are set as 22,953 will take note of the difference.
I think it was but I figured it was dated 4/30 it was OK. I can delete the book and mark it read after the read-a-thon is over. Sorry if it messed everything up.
You can just mark it "read" once the marathon starts, Mary. That way we get credit for those pages read! But that's of course if Sonia thinks you should go back and do that. The date on the book doesn't matter in this instance, since we're going by 2013 totals, not specific dates.
Don't forget to join in on the Mini Challenge & Game Madness! The mini games are just for fun and do not require participation if you really don't want to do them!

Don't worry about the book. Just delete it and add it again after the RaT as Teresa said.
I think it can be connected with the goodreads refresh delay, but I'm not going to be picky about that - stil have a few teams to validate.
7 minutes left to the Read-a-Thon YEY!

Sorry for the mix up. I deleted it from my read books and so my correct starting page count is what I originally had of 22,953.

Yeah, I did NOT figure out an accurate page count for the Mod Account. I just went with the lowest for people with a <50 books goal.
I'm doing the "buddy read" of The Kingdom right now, which will count, and it is 376 pages.
