What are you currently reading?
I just finished
and am finishing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows via audio. I will have finally read them all!Lately, I've been reading
. Anyone who enjoys manga or graphic novels or is interested in transgender characters should check it out! It's a very sweet tale of acceptance.

Both of them are really good! I love reading Murakami. I finished 1Q84 on New Year's Eve.
I just started the Deathly Hallows audiobook. There won't be much time for me to read anymore now that classes are starting up again :\ But I do hope both of you find the Murakami books great! :)
Nadiah wrote: "Both of them are really good! I love reading Murakami. I finished 1Q84 on New Year's Eve."Nice! Glad to hear 1Q84 is good; the feedback I've been hearing from those who have read the book has been generally positive. I really need to read more Murakami, I almost picked up Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage last year but then decided to wait for it in paperback xD
I started reading Georgette Heyer's The Masqueraders yesterday for a change of pace before diving into Heather Webb's Rodin's Lover: A Novel (reading this for a book tour).
Nicole wrote: "I've just finished the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy
Now I'm reading Saga vol 4
"I finished and started reading the exact same 2 books in December!!
I just finished The Invention of Wings today. I really loved it, it will likely become one of my favorite novels. Have started to read And the Mountains Echoed now.
I've recently finished "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist" by Cohn and Levithan as well as "Shoplifter" by Michael Cho
I just started reading Throne of Glass a few days ago - it's really good so far! I'm only a few chapters in. I have to sit down and be able to focus on this one. Has anyone else read this one? What are your thoughts?

I'm actually reading that one right now, too! I'm about 130 pages in so far, and I'm loving it.

That's about where I am too! It's so good so far! I almost wish I had the rest of the series - I've put myself on a book buying ban for a little while.
Fay wrote: "I'm reading The Luminaries"How are you finding it? I have it sitting on my to-read pile atm xD
I finished two Brandon Sanderson books over the weekend so now I'm on to Susan Sherman's The Little Russian and continuing along with Emily Dickinson's Poems (and K.M. Weiland's Outlining Your Novel Workbook: Step-by-Step Exercises for Planning Your Best Book but dunno if that counts, really). Oh, and I started re-reading Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre so I'm continuing with that :)
@lianne I was pleasantly surprised by The Luminaries. I'd never noticed how one dimensional the narrative of a mystery or thriller normally is. This book skilfully weaves the narratives of all interested parities together to create a complex and interesting mystery that isn't easily tied together so that A+B=C. The truths of all the characters come together to create a solution that has it's own questions within it. As an avid reader I often instantly forget character names and all but the bare bones of a story as soon as I put the book down but with this I find myself still thinking about the characters 2 weeks on and reaching for it to read more.

I'm still reading Emily Dickinson's poems, Bronte's Jane Eyre and K.M. Weiland's outlining workbook, but I also started Blake Charlton's Spellwright a few days ago (it's my "travelling home" :)) and it looks like I'm going to be starting Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven shortly xD
@lianne. Spellright looks interesting - I just added it to my TBR list. Let me know what you think to The Luminaries. I read Station Eleven last month and loved it. Really atmospheric. I can't wait I hear what you think.
Fay wrote: "@lianne. Spellright looks interesting - I just added it to my TBR list. Let me know what you think to The Luminaries. I read Station Eleven last month and loved it. Really atmospheric. I can't wait..."I just finished reading Station Eleven last night and I agree, it was really atmospheric! Still sorting my thoughts about this book, but overall I really enjoyed it :)
Meanwhile, I'm still reading Spellwright but I've also been reading Shakespeare's Richard III and started reading Kazuo Ishiguro's The Buried Giant: A Novel (looking forward to this!)
Just finished Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders. Not as good as Smoke and Mirrors, but still fine. Now I'm jumping into Shakespeare Roman plays ! Titus Andronicus, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra and Coriolanus. Yay ! \o/
Clémence wrote: "Now I'm jumping into Shakespeare Roman plays ! Titus Andronicus, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra and Coriolanus. Yay ! \o/."Whoo, enjoy! I still hve to read Titus Andronicus and Antony & Cleopatra, but I really loved Julius Caesar :)
Currently reading Americanah and Princesses Behaving Badly: Real Stories from History Without the Fairy-Tale Endings. I really like both so far! I'm thinking I'll read Crown of Midnight or The Secret History next.
I am currently reading Blake Charlton's Spellbound, Jacques Kronberg's The Pope's Dilemma: Pius XII Faces Atrocities and Genocide in the Second World War, and am slowly listening through Christopher Marlowe's Tamburlaine. Oh, and slowly re-reading through Tolkien's The Silmarillion :)
Thread bump :)I'm still re-reading Tolkien's The Silmarillion (just about done, a few more sections to go, I believe). Meanwhile I'm also working through Paul Kingsnorth's The Wake and started Alice Munro's Selected Stories, 1968-1994 :)
Jemma wrote: "I cannot believe how I can read four books at one time; two are nearly finished though!"I never thought I did this until I started using Goodreads but I normally have a work book, a home book, a book with the kids, and an audio book on the go. I guess its just the same as keeping track of numerous TV Shows but it still amazes me that we all seem to do this :-)

lol, I've been doing that for a long time too: I have a book that I read to and from placement/classes, and then I have book(s) that I'm reading otherwise with the occasional audio book to boot xD I guess all bookworms do some kind of reading/juggling somehow! =)
Jocelin wrote: "I'm now reading The Scarlet Letter by Hawthorne."
I've been meaning to read that classic. Happy reading!
I just finished reading Deborah Harkness' The Book of Life and Shakespeare's King John so I'm back to reading through Catherine Chanter's The Well but I also started reading Donna Douglas' The Nightingale Girls: =)
Currently reading way too many books! I usually only stick to one at a time so I don't get distracted from the plot, but somehow I've ended up reading three books. Oops! I'm reading this month's Iggleworms pick, The Handmaid's Tale along with A Clash of Kings and Lola and the Boy Next Door. I'm currently focusing on our book of the month though. :)
I started reading Marina Fiorato's Beatrice and Benedick and William Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. Am loving both so far! =)

I just moved to London from The Bahamas so I'm enjoying the mix of fantasy with real london places."Hi Claire, welcome to London! I just thought I would mention in case you didn't know that Rivers of London was chosen to be the London CityRead book this year so there are lots of events happening through April to celebrate...

I am going to table reading longer books (since I am in the middle of writing a thesis) and jump into reading more comics. I read Vol 1 of the Rat Queens and wasn't too taken with it. So, I am going to switch over the Saga series. I have volumes 1 through 3. We shall see how that goes!

I'm still reading Marina Fiorato's Beatrice and Benedick but I've also been reading Helen Marshall's Hair Side, Flesh Side, and William Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis :)
I'm reading A Dance with Dragons which was finally available in the edition I wanted. *__* I have to hurry if I want to read it before the tv show goes to much ahead !
I'm reading The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling for the April challenge. I'm also reading Batman Detective Comics, Volume 4: The Wrath.
I am currently re-reading His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. I really love this series and tend to re-read it every year.
I am reading The Lies of Locke Lamora. It's been on my TBR list for a long time and I finally remember to look for it the last time I was at the library. So far it's been quite good!
I am reading the Miniaturist by Jessie Burton. I am really enjoying it, I seem to be reading lots of books that have an Amsterdam theme at the moment!
I'm reading The Great Gatsby, right now. Because I frequently get into trouble for reading and my work load has increased, I'm now only reading one book at a time.
Kristin wrote: "I am reading The Lies of Locke Lamora. It's been on my TBR list for a long time and I finally remember to look for it the last time I was at the library. I've been reading The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy: A Handbook for Girl Geeks bit by bit, but otherwise I'm stumped as to what to read next! It's between Lost Lake, Shanghai Girls and The Virgin Suicides. Anyone want to suggest which one I should read?
